CONSTITUTION:The content of a storage section 14 of a storage device 30 is read out throug the access of a processor 11, and readout information is transmitted to the device 11 directly via a data transferring bus 20 not through the error detecting and correcting mechanism and stored in a data register 12. In this case, if readout information has errors, the error is given to the device 11 via a humming circuit 13 of a correcting device 10 and the storage section 14 is inhibited. The content of storage of the register 12 is error-corrected via a syndrome register 19, a decoder 17, and an error correction circuit 18, outputted on a bus 22 and transferred to the device 11. With a simple constitution due to unnecessary switching circuits, if no error is present, information is transferred directly from the storage section, and the result of humming check is inputted not through a readout register at error generation and a storage device which can achieve quick processing of information can be obtained.
