Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid the discrepancy of bonding position on the occasion of bonding by providing a mechanism which can cool tips of leads partially on the occasion of mounting. CONSTITUTION:A glass-sealed case which consists of a ceramic base 6, low fusing point glass 5 on the base 6 and a lead-frame 4 pressed and adhered to the glass 5 is positioned by guide pins 7 and fixed on a heater block 3. A cooling pipe 8 which cools only tips of leads is set on the led-frame 4. A semiconductor pellet 2 attracted by a collet 1 is placed on the lead-frame 4 and is adhered by making alloy. With this constitution, as the tips of leads are cooled by the cooling pipe 8, the low fusing point glass 5 does not melt, so that the position of the tip of the lead does not move.
