Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the liquid leakage resistance of an alkaline battery by providing the sealing part of the battery with a sealing agent consisting of a fatty acid system polyamide amine layer touching the negative sealing plate, and a chlorosulfonated polyethylene layer touching the gasket. CONSTITUTION:After a generation element is installed in a positive can 3, a negative sealing plate 1 is placed over the generation element, with an insulating gasket 2 interposed between the can 3 and the plate 1, to seal the battery, thereby constituting an alkaline battery. The sealing part formed between the plate 1 and the gasket 2 is provided with a sealing agent 4, which consists of a fatty acid system polyamide amine-4, 1 layer touching the plate 1, and a chlorosulfonated polyethylnen-4, 2 layer touching the gasket 2. Here, the amine value of the former fatty acid system polyamide amine is preferred to be 50-200. In addition, the former fatty acid system polyamide amine preferably is added with 2-20wt% of carbon powder.
