Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the resistance to liquid leakage of an alkaline battery by laying a film made of a purine on the copper surface of a negative collector which touches a gasket. The purine has a structural formula as is indicated, and is firmly and densely bound to the copper surface because of its chemically strong activity against copper.
