Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the electrolyte leakage resistance and the performance of a cell by using a laminated film for sealing the cell.
CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode 2 and a positive electrode 3 are placed oppositely with a separator 1 between them. A collector 4 is attached to the positive electrode 3, thus forming a cell. The cell is covered with two sheets of heat-melting resin film 5a and 5b, then the periphery 6 of the sheets is heat-sealed to form a flat cell. The films 5a and 5b are a laminated film consisting of more than two kinds of films including a film having good heat resistant property, such as a laminated film consisting of polyethylene film 7, polypropylene film 8 and aluminium foil 10 with the aluminium foil 10 and polyethylene film 7 laminated between the polyethylene film 7 and the polypropylene film 8.
