Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain always distinct two color images by forming the intermediate layer to be laminated between the first photoconductive layer and second photoconductive layer by containing ion conductive high polymer in the photoreceptor for electrophotography which copies two color originals in one process.
CONSTITUTION: The first photoconductive layer 12 which is sensitive to A-color light under positive (negative) charging and has the potential holding power enough to be able to make contribution to the formation of the surface potentials of the photoreceptor through positive (negative) corona charge treatment, the intermediate layer 13 containing cationic high polymer (e.g., polyvinyl benzyl trimethyl ammonium chloride) and anionic high polymer (e.g., sodium polymethyl acrylate) and the second photoconductive layer 14 which is sensitive to B-color light under negative (positive) charging, is non-sensitive to A-color light and has the potential holding power enough to be able to make contribution to the formation of the surface potential of the photoreceptor through negative (positive) corona charge treatment are laminated on a conductive substrate 11, whereby the photoreceptor is provided.
