Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible the color reversion of the 2-color electrophotographic copying method by combining a both polarity photoconductive layer sensitive to A color and insensitive to B color and a photoconductive layer having the characteristics opposite thereof and charging these by the specific method.
CONSTITUTION: The photoreceptor 1 comprising forming a photoconductive layer 11 (sensitive to B color and insensitive to A color) and a photoconductive layer 12 (sensitive to A color and insensitive to B color) on a conductive substrate 1 is used. In case color reversion is not goin to be performed, the photoreceptor 1 is primary-charged to positive polarity while being radiated with A-color light, thence it is subjected to the secondary charging of negative polarity weaker than the primary charging in the dark to form the polarizations of mutually opposite directions on each of the photoconductive layers 11, 12, after which the light images of the original C having A- color image OA and B-color image OB on the white ground are radiated to make the surface of the photoreceptor corresponding to the white ground part, A-color image and B-color image respectively zero potential, positive polarity and negative polarity, thence the images are developed by the negatively charged A-color toner and positively charged B-color toner.
