Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain good copied images of two colors by providing two layers of photoconductive layers of a layer having photosensitivity to two colors of light and a layer having no photosensitivity thereto to a photoreceptor, insulating these two layers, performing the specified photosensitive operations and using two kinds of the toners having been charged to mutually opposite polarities.
CONSTITUTION: A photoreceptor 1 is made by laminating the first photoconductive layer 12, transparent insulation layer 13, second photoconductive layer 14 and transparent insulation layer 15 on a conductive substrate 11. While the first photoconductive layer 12 has photosensitivity to A-color light, the second photoconductive layer 14 is insensitive to the A-color light. First, the photoreceptor 1 is radiated with white color light then with A-color light, and this enables the polarities such as the illustrated ones to be obtained in the photoconductive layers 12, 14, but the photoreceptor surface is destaticized next by being subjected to positive corona discharging in the dark by a charger 4. Next, the light images of the original 0 are exposed to the photoreceptor 1. Since white ground part OW, black color image OB and A-color image OA are stated on the original 0, the electrostatic latent images are visualized by the negatively charged black color toner and the positively charged A-color toner to obtain the TB image and TA image, which are then combined with the white color part, whereby the visible copied images of the two colors are obtainable.
