Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain good two color copied images by providing two layers of photoconductive layers of a layer having photosensitivity to two colors of light and a layer having no photosensitivity thereto to a photoreceptor and performing the specified photosensitive operations. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer 11 which has sensitivity to A-color light, a photoconductive layer 12 having sensitivity to A-color light and a transparent insulation layer 13 are laminated on a conductive substrate 10 to form a photoreceptor 1. First, the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is primarily charged to positive polarity by white color light by a charger 2. Then, the back surface of the insulation layer 13 is induced of negative charges. Next, said surface is subjectd to negative secondary charging with a charger 3. Next, the negative charge on the surface of the photoreceptor is destaticized through positive corona discharge in the dark by a charger 4. Thence, the light images of the original 0 are exposed to the photoreceptor 1. Since white ground part OW, black color image OB and A-color image OA are stated on the original 0, the electrostatic latent images are visualized by A-color toner to obtain the TA image and visualized by black-color toner to obtain the TB image, which are then combined with the white color part, whereby the visible copied images of two colors are obtainable.
