Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the sharp two color images from the multicolor original through one image exposure by providing a polarizing film between the two photoconductive layers having different sensitivites to colored light.
CONSTITUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor 1 having a polarizing film 13 between the 2nd photoconductive layer 14 which has sensitivity to partly colored (e.g., red) light of a visible light region and transmits the other color (other than red) light and the 1st photoconductive layer 12 which has sensitivity to at least the light (other than red) transmitting through the layer 14 on a conductive substrate 11 is manufactured. A polarizing filter 2 of orthogonal position H90 to the polarizing position 13 is applied to this photoreceptor 1 and the primary positive corona charging is applied while red color light is evenly exposed or the exposure is done after the charging.
