Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the sharp two color images from the multicolor original through one image exposure by providing a polarizing film between the two photoconductive layers having different sensitivites to colored light.
CONSTITUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor 1 having a polarizing film 13 between the 2nd photoconductive layer 14 which has sensitivity to partly colored (e.g., red) light of a visible light region and transmits the other color (other than red) light and the 1st photoconductive layer 12 which has sensitivity to at least the light (other than red) transmitting through the layer 14 on a conductive substrate 11 is manufactured. A polarizing filter 2 of orthogonal position H90 to the polarizing position 13 is applied to this photoreceptor 1 and the primary positive corona charging is applied while red color light is evenly exposed or the exposure is done after the charging. Next, the negative corona charging opposite from the primary one is done to negatively charge the layer 14 surface. Next, the polarizing filter 2 assuming a parallel position H0 to the layer 13 is set and the light image of the original 3 is radiated. Thence, the charging of negative is applied to the layer 14, 0 to the layers 12, 14 and positive to the layer 12 in correspondence to the black color part BL, white color part W and red color part R of the original. Thence, this is developed by the black color toner Tb, red color toner Ta of respectively opposite polarities, whereby the two color development is obtained.
