Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a 2-color copy high quality of one imagewise exposure step, by forming a photoreceptor having 2 photoconductive layers different in sensitivity to a chromatic color, and providing a resin dispersion layer containing TiO2 and a red- sensitizer as the second photoconductive layer.
CONSTITUTION: First photoconductive layer 12 of amorphous Se or the like is formed on electroconductive substrate 11, and layer 2 is made conductive by a chromatic color light, e.g., a nonred light transmitted through second photoconductive layer 14, and on layer 12 layer 14 consisting of TiO2 and a red-sensitizer (bromophenolblue, or so) becoming sensitive to red light is formed to prepare photoreceptor 1. Photoreceptor 1 undergoes successively first corona charging as being irradiated by light through a red filter to render the surface potential negative, second charging in a somewhat smaller amount to render the surface potential positive, exposure to the light image of original 2 to give surface potentials corresponding to black BL, white W, and red R of original 2 different in polarity, and development with black toner Tb and red toner Ta different from each other in polarity, thus permitting a 2-color sharp copy to be obtained.
