Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a high quality image with a receptor capable of accepting charges of different polarities and fit for dichromatic copy by successively laminating a charge generating layer, a charge carrying layer and a charge generating layer to form the first photoconductive layer of the receptor having two photoconductive layers.
CONSTITUTION: The second photoconductive layer 3 sensitive to partial colored light (light B) in the visible light region and capable of transmitting other colored light (light A) is formed on the first photoconductive layer 2 sensitive to light A. Layer 2 is placed on electrically conductive substrate 1 capable of transmitting light A by successively forming charge generating layer 21, charge carrying layer 22 and charge generating layer 23 on substrate 1. Layer 3 of the resulting receptor is subjected to primary corona charging, and the receptor is uniformly exposed to light A or light containing light A but no light B from the substrate 1 side, followed by secondary corona charging of the reverse polarity to the primary charging. Black-white-red (the same color as light A) original 4 is then exposed, and layers 2, 3 are charged with electricity of different polarities and developed with black toner 6 and red toner 5. By transferring this image a dichromatic copy is obtained.
