Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a 2-color positive image copy to be obtained from a 2-color negative original, by using a photoreceptor consisting of a photoconductive layer having photosensitivity to a specified color, and a photoconductive layer not having photosensitivity to this color, charging the photoreceptor to a specified polarity, and irradiating it by light.
CONSTITUTION: Photoreceptor P to be formed on conductive substrate 1 consists of photoconductive layer 2 having positive chargeability and having photosensitivity to blue and red lights, but not to green light, and photoconductive layer 3 having negative chargeability and photosensitivity to green light, but not to blue and red lights. This photoreceptor P surface is uniformly negatively charged and irradiated by the light image of negative original 5 having black area 5a, white area 5b, and red area 5c. Then, photoreceptor P surface is uniformly irradiated by light through red filter 6, uniformly positively charged, again irradiated by light through red filter 6 uniformly, and then supply of negatively charged black toner 8 and positively charged red toner 9 forms a positive image reversed in the black and white areas of the negative original.
