Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a well-balanced copy with high image density about all colors by carrying out development with toners having different colors and different polarities in the order of increasing softening point. CONSTITUTION:A latent image with a positively charged red part, a negatively charged black part and a zero potential white part on the surface of a photoreceptor 1 is first developed with a black positive toner 4 having a lower softening point, and it is developed with a red negative toner 6 having a higher softening point. Since the toner 4 gives relatively high image density independently of the sticking amount, it is fixed thoroughly even if made thinner by rubbing with a magnetic brush for the toner 6. Accordingly, the resulting transferred image has almost equal image density about red and black, and a well-balanced copy is obtd.
