Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the toner images developed previously from being disturbed at the later development by approaching the potential of the other electrostatic latent image to zero as far as possible at the time of developing one electrostatic latent image.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive drum consists of a conductive layer 2 being a substrate, the 1st photoconductive layer 3 and the 2nd photoconductive layer 4. The photoconductive layer 3 has chargeable to positive and has photosensitivity to blue and red and has no photosencitivity to green. The photoconductive layer 4 is chargeable to negative and has no photosensitivity to blue and red and has photosensitivity to green. The surface potential of the photosensitive drum is made -1,100V by a charger 6 which has been applied with -6.5kV in the 1st process and is made +100V by a charger 6 which has been applied with +5.5kV in the 2nd process. In the 3rd process, the light image of the original having black 41a, white 41b, red 41c is irradiated. Here, if the red-color toner TR having been charged positive is supplied by the 1st developing device, the toner TR is absorbed to the negative potential region 1c. In the 4th process, negative electrode is discharged and the black-color toner TB having been charged negative here is supplied, the toner TB is adsorbed to the black-color region 1a.
