Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent accumulation of soot and corrosion of primary and secondary heat exchangers by means that air heated by exhaust gas in a primary heat exchangr heats in the secondary heat exchanger heat medium, which becomes hot and is supplied to a heat demanding equipment.
CONSTITUTION: After exhaust gas discharged from a supercharger 2 of a diesel engine passes through an exhaust pipe 3 and heats air in a primary heat exchanger 4, exhaust gas is released into a funnel 5. Excess exhaust gas runs through a bypass duct 26 via a flow control valve 27 to bypass the heat exchanger 4. The hot air appearing in the primary heat exchanger 4 is carried through a duct 8 into a secondary heat exchanger 9, where the hot air heats water sent by a pump 14. After hot water coming out of the secondary heat exchanger 9 heats medium in a heat demanding equipment 17, the hot medium is led by a duct 18 into an observation tank 19 to inspect the presence of oil. The hot air coming out of the secondary heat exchanger 9 is fed back into the primary heat exchanger 4 via duct 10, thermo- control valve 11 and blower 6.
