Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the heating efficiency of air fuel mixture, improve the output of an engine, economize the fuel consumption and prevent the noxious gas from being discharged by a structure wherein secondary air is effectively heated by utilizing the exhaust gas and as well as the high temperature secondary air is supplied at the junction of the carburetor and the suction manifold.
CONSTITUTION: A heated air jetting flange 7 is insertedly provided at the junction of the suction manifold 9 and the carburetor 10, the inlet joint pipe 6 of which is communicatively connected by a heat resisting pipe 17 to the outlet side end of thecoiled air pipe 15 of the heating device 16 arranged within an exhaust pipe 13. The inlet side end of the coiled air pipe 15 is connected to an air cleaner 25 through a pipe, a check valve 26 and a solenoid valve type air fuel ratio regulator 24. Due to the structure described above, the exhaust gas from a cylinder 8 heats the coiled air pipe 15 in order to heat the air passing therethrough to high temperature. The heating efficiency of the air fuel mixture is contrived to enhance and the output of the engine to improve by jetting out said high temperature air from the jetting flange 7 into the suction manifold 9 as secondary air.
