Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the phase mixing effect in an optical fiber and to improve the measurement accuray of the subject device by amply increasing the diameter of an optical fiber on a light emitting and light receiving element sides and reducing the diameter of an optical fiber on an objective lens side. CONSTITUTION:Light from a light emitting element 1 is focused by a condensing lens 2, and enters an optical fiber 3, passing therethrough and being reflected by a reflection face 6a of a spectrum prism 6, and thereafter being injected outside through an objective lens 4. Then, the light is reflected by a corner cube 5 and again injected into the objective lens 4, and reflected by a reflection face 6b of the prism 6, passing through an optical fiber 7 on the side of a light receiving element 9 and being incident in the light receiving element 9 via a lens 8. The optical fiber 3 consists of a large diameter part 3a positioned on the side of the light emitting element 1 and a small-diameter part 3b positioned on the side of the objective lens 4, the ends of both parts being in abutment with each other and bonded to each other by means of a bonding agent 3c. The opticalfiber 7 consists of a large-diameter part 7a positioned on the side of the light receiving element 9 and a small-diameter part 7b on the side of an objective lens 4, both parts being bonded to each other by means of a bonding agent 7c.
