Abstract
An image rotator has two thin spaced wedge-shaped prisms and a reflector in the form of a mirror disposed in the radiation path between the prisms so that radiation, for example infra-red radiation, transmitted through and refracted by one prism is reflected towards the other prism for transmission therethrough and refraction thereby, so as to be capable of effecting rotation of an image carried by such radiation. The prisms are preferably made of germanium which is a suitable infra- red transmitting material. <IMAGE>
