Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep the quantity of dissolved oxygen appropriate, by providing a dissolved oxygen meter near the outlet port of an aeration tank and using the quantity of supplied air as an index for a setpoint of the quantity of dissolved oxygen.
CONSTITUTION: Because there is a certain correlation between a supplied air quantity signal Gs and the respiration speed of activated sludge near the dissolved oxygen meter 15, the quality of treated water can be stabilized by using the supplied air quantity signal Gs as an index. An operating valve 19 and a suction valve 13 are controlled by a supplied air quantity command signal GD which is produced by the supplied air quantity controller 10 depending on the input of an introduced water quantity signal qs, a dissolved oxygen quantity deviation signal Ds and the supplied air quantity signal Gs. When the signal Gs is applied to a calculation controller 20, this signal is processed so that the signal is applied as a dissolved oxygen quantity external set signal S2 to the dissolved oxygen quantity controller 13. The signal Gs varies due to the change in the quantity of introduced water and the concentration of main substance. The signal S2 responds to the variation in the signal Gs to control the quantity of dissolved oxygen to be constant.
