Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the amount of dissolved oxygen in the aeration tank for raising the utilizing rate of oxygen by introducing pure oxygen through a pathway separated from the flow of ventilating and stirring air in the clarification of waste water by sending pure oxygen into the mixture of activated sludge and waste water in the aeration tank.
CONSTITUTION: Air from an air blowing device 11 is sent upwardly in the form of bubbles into the mixture 10 of activated sludge and waste water inside the aeration tank 1 to stir the mixture 10. On the other hand, pure oxygen is injected from the pure oxygen blowing device 21 into the water 20 to be treated in the oxygen dissolution tank 2 to saturate the water 20 with oxygen. When the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the mixture 10 inside the tank 1 is detected, and the value is read out by an automatic control meter 4 and reduced to less than the set value, a needle valve 6 connected to a control box 5 is opened to introduce the oxygen-saturated water 20 into the mixture 10 to increase the amount of dissolved oxygen to the set value. When the set value is reached, the meter 3 detects it, the valve 6 is closed, and the amount of dissolved oxygen is automatically controlled to the set value.
