Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize the use amount of absorbents and stabilize the operation of the apparatus by incorporating the controls such as of replenishment rate of absorbents, desulfurization rates, quality of product gypsum, etc. into one system and simultaneously controlling these.
CONSTITUTION: SO2 density 1 and gas flow rate 2 of the gas introduced into the apparatus are converted to electric signals which are then put into an adder 3 to calculate SO2 quantity. This signal is converted 4 to oxidation tower 23 extract liquid flow rate. At the same time, the pH value 5 of the oxidation tower is measured and is converted 6 to oxidation tower extract liquid flow rate. These 2 signals and the signal of an oxidation tower extract liquid flow rate flow bias setter 7 is added 8, from which value the oxidation tower extract liquid flow rate D is controlled by a flow controller 9, flow control valve 10 and flowmeter 11. On the other hand, the value of the flowmeter 11 is converted 12 to an absorbent replenishment rate signal, which is then multiplied 14 by the signal from a circulating liquid concentration setter 13 to determine the absorbent liquid replenishment rate. Grading of product gypsum is accomplished by the control of pH of the oxidation tower.
