Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain stable treated water at high load and reduce consumption of driving power by calculating the rate of oxygen intake from the rate of change in dissolved oxygen near the outflow part of the 1st aerating vessel, comparing the same with set upper and lower limit values, and controlling the flow rate of blowing air and the inflow rate of sewage.
CONSTITUTION: The activated sludge type treating device consists of a raw water storage vessel 1, an aerating vessel 3, a settling vessel 4, a reaerating vessel 5, sludge withdrawing plates, air compressors 8, 9, etc. An automatic control device consisting of sensors 12, 13 and an automatic controller 14 is attached to the interior liquid outflow part of the vessel 3. The interior liquid in the outflow part of the vessel 3 is sucked up into a piping 11, and the amt. of dissolved oxygen after the consumption is measured with the sensor 12, the value whereof is introduced to the controller 14 having an oxygen intake rate operating mechanism. The controller 14 compares the result of the operation and the upper and lower limit values of the oxygen intake rate having beforehand been set in a storage circuit, and controls the flow rate of a raw water pump 2 or the compressor 9 in such a way that it is within these range.
