Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.それぞれ切換信号と直列多ビットディジタルデータ信号とが駆動回路からそ れを介して画像素子へ加えられる行及び列アドレス導体の組へ接続された画像素 子のマトリックスを具えているマトリックス表示装置であって、且つ各画像素子 が2個の切換トランジスタと2個のコンデンサ素子とを有する直列電荷リディス トリビューションディジタル‐アナログ変換器回路を具え、それらのうちの少な くとも一つが、画像素子アドレス期間中に列アドレス導体のうちのそれぞれ一つ 上の多ビットディジタルデータ信号を表示素子のためのアナログ電圧に変換する ために、電気光学表示素子を具えて、画像素子の切換トランジスタは前記切換信 号により画像素子アドレス期間の間次々と動作できるマトリックス表示装置にお いて、 画像素子の2個の切換トランジスタが同じ行アドレス導体へ接続され、且つ 逆導電型のものであり、これら2個の切換トランジスタはその行アドレス導体へ 加えられる切換信号により、相補的な方法で動作できることを特徴とするマトリ ックス表示装置。 2.請求項1記載のマトリックス表示装置において、それぞれの行内の画像素子 の切換トランジスタが行アドレス導体のうちの各自の、異なる1個の行導体へ接 続されることを特徴とするマトリックス表示装置。 3.請求項2記載のマトリックス表示装置において、その行内の画像素子の切換 トランジスタを動作させるために各自の行アドレス期間内に高及び低電位レベル の間で行アドレス導体を周期的に切り換えることにより、且つその行アドレス期 間内に次々にそれらの関連する列アドレス導体を介してその画像素子へ多ビット データ信号のビットを加えることにより、駆動回路が次々に各行内の画像素子を 駆動するために働き得ることを特徴とするマトリックス表示装置。 4.請求項3記載のマトリックス表示装置において、駆動回路が行アドレス期間 の後の部分の間画像素子へ多ビットデータ信号を加えるために配設されること、 及び駆動回路が行アドレス期間の先の部分の間一定レベルへ画像素子のコンデン サ素子を設定するために列アドレス導体へ予め決められた電圧を加えるため に働けることを特徴とするマトリックス表示装置。 5.請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載のマトリックス表示装置において、画像素 子の2個のコンデンサ素子が各々表示副素子を具えていることを特徴とするマト リックス表示装置。 6.請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載のマトリックス表示装置において、画像素 子の切換トランジスタがp及びn型薄膜トランジスタを具えていることを特徴と するマトリックス表示装置。 7.請求項1〜6のいずれか1項記載のマトリックス表示装置において、表示素 子が液晶表示素子を具えていることを特徴とするマトリックス表示装置。
