Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.カテーテル処置に際してガイドカテーテル又は診断カテーテルとして使用 するためのカテーテルアッセンブリであって、 基端及び先端を有し、その基端及び先端の間に長手方向に延びる内腔を備え、 重合体層から形成されたほぼ長尺状のシャフトと、 カテーテルの配置中にシャフトを支持するために十分な直径を有し、前記内腔 内に挿入可能な手段と を備えたカテーテルアッセンブリ。 2.前記シャフトを支持するための手段はコアワイヤ及びその上の非金属コー ティングを備えた支持部材を含んでいる請求項1に記載のカテーテルアッセンブ リ。 3.前記支持部材はほぼ長尺状をなし、基端及び先端を有すると共にその先端 に位置するソフトチップを備えている請求項2に記載のカテーテルアッセンブリ 。 4.前記支持部材の先端はテーパー状に形成されている請求項3に記載のカテ ーテルアッセンブリ。 5.前記シャフトを支持するための手段は湾曲されている請求項1に記載のカ テーテルアッセンブリ。 6.前記シャフトは湾曲されている請求項1に記載のカテーテルアッセンブリ 。 7.前記シャフトを支持するための手段は、カテーテルの配置中に内腔への挿 入を行うため、内腔の径よりも小さな外径を有する第2シャフトを備えている請 求項1に記載のカテーテルアッセンブリ。 8.前記第2シャフトは長尺の管状部材である請求項7に記載のカテーテルア ッセンブリ。 9.前記シャフトの基端を前記第2シャフトの基端に固定するための手段を更 に含む請求項7に記載のカテーテルアッセンブリ。 10.カテーテル処置に際してガイドカテーテル又は診断カテーテルとして使 用するためのカテーテルアッセンブリであって、 基端及び先端を有し、その基端及び先端の間に長手方向に延びる内腔を備え、 重合体層から形成されたほぼ長尺状のシャフトと、 カテーテルの配置中にシャフトを支持するために十分な内径の内腔を有し、前 記シャフトの上をおおって配置される手段と を備えたカテーテルアッセンブリ。 11.カテーテルの配置中に前記シャフトを支持するための手段の基端に前記 シャフトの基端を固定するための手段を更に備える請求項10に記載のカテーテ ルアッセンブリ。 12.患者の脈管系内にカテーテルを位置決めするためのガイドカテーテル又 は診断カテーテルを支持する方法であって、 非金属コーティングを有するコアを備えた長尺シャフトを提供し、 前記患者の脈管系内に前記シャフトを挿入し、 前記シャフトの上にて重合体材料から形成された長尺の管状部材を前進させ、 前記シャフトは管状部材とシャフトとの間で力を伝達するために十分な径を有す ることと、 患者の脈管系内に管状部材の先端を位置決めする 方法。 13.患者の脈管系の小孔内にシャフトの先端を位置決めする工程を更に含む 請求項12に記載の方法。 14.管状部材の先端が前記小孔内に位置決めされるまで、前記シャフト上に て前記管状部材を前進させる工程を更に備える請求項13に記載の方法。 15.前記シャフトを取り除く工程を更に備える請求項12に記載の方法。 16.患者の脈管系内にカテーテルを位置決めするためのガイドカテーテル又 は診断カテーテルを支持する方法であって、 第1の長尺管状部材を提供し、 第2の長尺管状部材内に第1の長尺管状部材を挿入して、カテーテルアッセン ブリを形成することにより、そのカテーテルアッセンブリ内の第1の管状部材及 び第2の管状部材の間で力の伝達を行い、 患者の脈管系内に前記カテーテルアッセンブリを挿入し、 患者の脈管系内に前記カテーテルアッセンブリの先端を位置決めする 方法。 17.第1の管状部材の基端を第2の管状部材の基端にロックする工程を更に 有する請求項16に記載の方法。 18.脈管系内の冠状動脈の小孔中に第2の管状部材の先端を係合する工程を 更に有する請求項16に記載の方法。 19.前記第1の管状部材の先端は第2の管状部材の先端を越えて延び、前記 方法は更に脈管系内の冠状動脈の小孔内に第1の管状部材の先端を係合する工程 を有する請求項16に記載の方法。 20.前記第2の管状部材の先端が前記小孔内に係合されるまで、第1の管状 部材上にて第2の管状部材を追跡する工程と、 前記患者の脈管系から第1の管状部材を取り除く工程と を更に有する請求項19に記載の方法。 21.前記第2の管状部材は重合体材料から形成されている請求項16に記載 の方法。 22.前記第2の管状部材を患者の脈管系から取り除くことを更に備える請求 項16に記載の方法。 23.前記第1の管状部材は重合体材料から形成されている請求項16に記載 の方法。
