Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 溶融金属内に挿入するためのドロップイン式浸漬プローブであって: 一つの軸と、前記軸に向かって内向きにテーパーがつけられている第1の軸方 向端部とを備え、全般的に円筒形であり、前記溶融金属の密度よりも大きな組合 せ密度を有する材料の組合せから作られている測定ヘッドと; 前記軸の近傍において前記ヘッドの前記第1端部から外向きに延びているセン サエレメントと; 前記ヘッドの前記第1端部と前記センサエレメントとを覆うスラグキャップと ; 前記ヘッドから外向きに延びており、かつ一端が前記センサエレメントに電気 的に接続されているリード線と; を具備するプローブ。 2. 前記測定ヘッドが、7.0グラム毎立方センチメートルより大きな密度を有 する材料で作られていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のプローブ。 3. 前記測定ヘッドが鋼製であることを特徴とする請求項2記載のプローブ。 4. 前記鋼がバーストックであることを特徴とする請求項3記載のプローブ。 5. 前記センサエレメントが温度測定センサであることを特徴とする請求項1 記載のプローブ。 6. 前記センサエレメントが温度および酸素に活性のセンサであることを特徴 とする請求項1記載のプローブ。 7. 前記スラグキャップが、スラグの前記スラグキャップへの付着を防ぐ材料 で覆われた外表面を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のプローブ。 8. 前記スラグキャップが融除材で覆われていることを特徴とする請求項7記 載のプローブ。 9. 前記ヘッドが融除材で覆われていることを特徴とする請求項8記載のプロ ーブ。 10. 前記測定ヘッド内の内部空洞が、前記ヘッドの有効密度を増大させるため 粒子状材料で満たされていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のプローブ。 11. 前記測定ヘッドおよびスラグキャップが全体として全般的に弾丸状の形状 をとるように、前記スラグキャ ップが前記ヘッドの軸に向かって全般的に滑らかに内向きのテーパーがつけられ ていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のプローブ。 12. 前記リード線が前記測定ヘッドの第2の軸方向端部から外向きに延びてい ることを特徴とする請求項1記載のプローブ。 13. 請求項1記載のプローブにおいてさらに、前記測定ヘッドの第2の軸方向 端部と接触するリード線支持管を具備するプローブであって、前記リード線のう ち前記ヘッドから外向きに延びている部分が前記支持管上にらせん状に巻きつけ られていることを特徴とするプローブ。 14. 前記リード線が、コネクタ部材に電気的に接続されたもう1つの端部を包 含することを特徴とする請求項1記載のプローブ。 15. 前記ヘッドから外向きに延びている前記リード線の一部が、耐熱材料製の 保護スリーブに覆われていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のプローブ。 16. 請求項1記載のプローブにおいてさらに、前記測定ヘッドが前記溶融金属 内に挿入される前に前記測定ヘッドを支持するための、前記測定ヘッドから外向 きに延 びる細長い支持部材を包含しているプローブ。 17. 前記支持部材が、所定の長さを有し、かつ、前記測定ヘッドに固定された 第1端部と支持環を包含する第2端部とを有するケーブルを具備していることを 特徴とする請求項16記載のプローブ。 18. 請求項17記載のプローブにおいてさらに、前記測定ヘッドの第2の軸方 向端部と接触するリード線支持管を具備するプローブであって、前記リード線の うち前記ヘッドから外向きに延びている部分が前記支持管上にらせん状に巻きつ けられており、前記支持ケーブルの長さが、前記支持ケーブルの第2端部が前記 支持管を越えて延びるようなものであることを特徴とするプローブ。
