Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.所定のガントリ角で患者に向けられた放射線ビームを生じさせる放射線給 源を有する放射治療装置において、前記ビームが複数の隣接光線を含み、制御装 置が: 放射線給源と患者との間に配置されていてビームのそれぞれの光線のフルエン スを独立的に制御する減衰手段; 第1のガントリ角で第1の所望の光線フルエンスに従って減衰手段を制御する 補整装置制御装置; 複数のモニタセグメントを有し患者と減衰手段との間に配置されたプレ患者モ ニタであり、隣接モニタセグメントがビームの隣接光線により画定されていて、 各セグメントがセグメントを画定する光線の測定されたフルエンスに比例するフ ルエンス信号を発生するプレ患者モニタ: 光線の所望のフルエンスを測定されたフルエンスと比較して差の値を発生させ る比較手段;および 差の値が予め定めた誤差の範囲外にあるときに誤り信号を発生するリミット手 段 を具備してなる制御装置。 2.リミット手段が、また: 測定されたフルエンスが所望のフルエンスに関して高すぎるが予め定めた誤差 の範囲内であることを示す高い信号;および 測定されたフルエンスが所望のフルエンスに関して低すぎるが予め定めた誤差 の範囲内であることを示す低い信号 を発生する請求項1記載の制御装置。 3.補整装置制御装置がリミット手段から信号を受け取り、減衰手段と連絡し て: 高い信号の受け取りに応答して第2のガントリ角で第2の所望のフルエンスを 減少させ;そして 低い信号に応答して第2のガントリ角で第2の所望のフルエンスを増加させる 請求項2記載の制御装置。 4.減衰手段が: 複数の放射線減衰薄片; 放射線給源と患者との間に全体的に位置決めされていて、各薄片がビームの1 つの光線を閉ざす放射線ビーム内の閉じた状態と、光線の遮断されていない通路 を許容する放射線ビームをはずれた開いた状態との間で薄片を案内するための支 持構造体;および 開いた状態と閉じた状態との間でそれぞれの薄片を独立的に運動させて、各光 線の所望のフルエンスを生じる開−閉比をもたらすための、制御手段と連絡した モチベーション手段 を含む請求項1記載の制御装置。 5.支持構造体が: 薄片がビームの1つの光線を閉ざす放射線ビーム内で中心に位置した閉じた状 態と; 薄片を1つの光線の第1の側の放射線ビームの外側にずらした第 1の開いた状態と; 薄片を1つの光線の第2の側の放射線ビームの外側にずらした第2の開いた状 態と; の間で薄片を案内し;そして ここで、モチベーター手段が各薄片を第1の開いた状態と閉じた状態の間およ び閉じた状態と第2の開いた状態との間で交互に運動させる 請求項4記載の制御装置。 6.第1の開いた状態と第2の開いた状態にある薄片が予め定めた加速距離だ けビームから離隔されている請求項5記載の補整装置。 7.加速距離が、薄片の運動の通路に沿って測定したビームの厚みの1/4に 等しい請求項6記載の補整装置。 8.薄片の運動の通路に沿って測定した薄片の幅が、ビームの厚みの11/2倍 の長さである請求項7記載の補整装置。 9.複数の放射線を減衰する薄片が、第1の複数の放射線を減衰する薄片と第 2の複数の放射線を減衰する薄片とを含み、支持構造体は、各薄片がビームの1 つおきの光線を閉ざす閉じた状態と放射線ビームをはずれた開いた状態との間で 第1の複数の薄片を案内する第1の支持構造体、および第1の複数の薄片が閉じ た状態にあるときに第1の複数の薄片により閉ざされていないビームの光線を各 薄片が閉ざす閉じた状態と閉じた状態の第1の複数の薄片が閉じた状態の第2の 複数の薄片よりも放射線給源に近く位置している放射線ビームの外側の開いた状 態との間で第2の複数の薄片を案内する第2の支持構造体を含んでいる請求項4 記載のコリメータ。 10.ガントリ角で患者に向けられた放射線ビームを生じる放射線給源を有す る放射治療装置において、前記ビームが複数の隣接光線を含み、制御装置が: 複数の放射線を減衰する薄片; 放射線給源と患者との間に全体的に位置決めされていて、各薄片がビームの1 つの光線を閉ざす放射線ビーム内の閉じた状態と、光線の遮断されてない通行を 許容する放射線ビームをはずれた少なくとも1つの開いた状態との間で薄片を案 内するための支持構造体; 各薄片に力を独立的に働かせて開いた状態と閉じた状態との間で各薄片を動か すモチベーション手段; 各薄片が閉じた状態にある期間の各薄片が開いた状態にある期間に対する所望 の比を制御してビームの各光線の平均フルエンスを制御するモチベーション手段 と連絡している補整装置制御装置; いつ各薄片が複数の開いた状態のうちの1つにあるか、また、いつ各薄片が閉 じた状態にあるかを測定し、そして薄片が開いた状態にある期間の各薄片が閉じ た状態の期間に対する実際の比を生じる位置センサ;および 実際の比を所望の比と比較して誤り信号を発生する誤り検出器を具備してなる 制御装置。 11.支持構造体が: 薄片がビームの1つの光線を閉ざす放射線ビーム内で中心に位置した閉じた状 態と; 薄片を1つの光線の第1の側の放射線ビームの外側にずらした第1の開いた状 態と; 薄片を1つの光線の第2の側の放射線ビームの外側にずらした第2の開いた状 態と; の間で薄片を案内し;そして モチベーター手段が各薄片を第1の開いた状態と閉じた状態の間および閉じた 状態と第2の開いた状態との間で交互に運動させる請求項10記載の制御装置。 12.第1の開いた状態と第2の開いた状態にある薄片が予め定めた加速距離 だけビームから離隔されている請求項11記載の補整装置。 13.加速距離が、薄片の運動の通路に沿って測定したビームの厚みの1/4 に等しい請求項12記載の補整装置。 14.薄片の運動の通路に沿って測定した薄片の幅が、ビームの厚みの11/2 倍の長さである請求項13記載の補整装置。 15.複数の放射線を減衰する薄片が、第1の複数の放射線を減衰する薄片と 第2の複数の放射線を減衰する薄片とを含み、支持構造体は、各薄片がビームの 1つおきの光線を閉ざす閉じた状態と放 射線ビームをはずれた開いた状態との間で第1の複数の薄片を案内する第1の支 持構造体、および第1の複数の薄片が閉じた状態にあるときに第1の複数の薄片 により閉ざされていないビームの光線を各薄片が閉ざす閉じた状態と閉じた状態 の第1の複数の薄片が閉じた状態の第2の複数の薄片よりも放射線給源に近く位 置している放射線ビームの外側の開いた状態との間で第2の複数の薄片を案内す る第2の支持構造体を含んでいる請求項14記載のコリメータ。 16.各薄片をモチベーション手段からの力のない閉じた状態に保つ複数の偏 倚手段をも含んでいる請求項10記載の制御装置。 17.ガントリ角で患者に向けられた放射線ビームを生じる放射線給源を有す る放射治療装置において、前記ビームが複数の隣接する光線を含んでなり、前記 装置が放射線給源と患者との間に配置されていて、ビームのそれぞれの光線のフ ルエンスを独立的に制御する減衰手段を有し、確認システムが: 減衰手段と患者との間に全体的に配置されていて患者に入る前のビームの各光 線のプレ患者フルエンスを測定するためのプレ患者モニタ;および 患者に関してプレ患者モニタに対向していてファンビーム内に全体的に配置さ れ、患者を出るビームの各光線のポスト患者フルエンスを測定するためのポスト 患者モニタ を具備してなるシステム。 18.プレ患者フルエンスをポスト患者フルエンスと比較して各 光線についての吸収値を生じる吸収計算機をさらに含み、前記吸収値が与えられ たガントリ角でファンビームについての吸収プロフィールを一緒に与える請求項 17記載のシステム。 19.患者の断層X線写真撮影吸収像をつくりだす複数のガントリ角からの吸 収プロフィールを受け取る再形成手段 をさらに含む請求項18記載のシステム。
