Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 流体入口、流体出口、及び流体入口と流体出口の間に設置された照射区 域を含み、その照射区域は(i)少なくとも1つの照射源を含み且つ(ii)被処 理流体を少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーから予め定められた最大距離内に 限定する閉断面を持つ、重力で供給される流体の処理システム。 2. 前記少なくとも1つの照射源が長い物でありそしてその長軸が前記照射 区域中の流体の流れと実質的に平行である請求項1の流体の処理システム。 3. 前記照射区域の断面積が、前記流体入口の断面積及び前記流体出口の断 面積のうちの少なくとも1つよりも小さい請求項1の流体の処理システム。 4. 前記照射区域の断面積が流体入口の断面積よりも小さく且つ前記照射区 域は前記流体入口を前記照射区域につなぐ移行領域を含む処理区域の中に設置さ れ、前記移行領域は前記入口と前記照射区域との間の流体の圧力損失を減少させ るものである請求項3の流体の処理システム。 5. 前記照射区域の断面積が流体出口の断面積よりも小さく且つ前記照射区 域は前記流休出口を前記照射区域につなぐ移行領域を含む処理区域の中に設置さ れ、前記移行領域は前記出口と前記照射区域との間の流体の圧力損失を減少させ るものである請求項3の流体の処理システム。 6. 前記照射区域の断面積が前記流体入口及び前記流体出口の断面積よりも 小さく、前記照射区域は第1及び第2移行領域を含む 処理区域の中に設置され、前記第1移行領域は前記流体入口を前記照射区域につ なぎ、そして前記第2移行領域は前記照射区域を前記流体出口につなぎ、前記第 1及び第2移行領域はそれぞれ前記流体入口と前記照射区域との間及び前記照射 区域と前記流体出口との間の流体の圧力損失を減少させるものである請求項2の 流体の処理システム。 7. 前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーが少なくとも1つの紫外線ラ ンプ及びその支持具を含むものである請求項6の流体の処理システム。 8. 前記照射源アセンブリーが前記少なくとも1つの紫外線ランプのそれぞ れの外側の一部の周りにスリーブを含む請求項7の流体の処理システム。 9. 前記長軸が実質的に垂直であり、そして前記第1移行領域が前記流体入 口を流れる実質的に水平な流体の流れを前記照射区域を流れる実質的に垂直な流 体の流れに変えるものである請求項6の流体の処理システム。 10. 前記第2移行領域が前記第1照射区域を流れる実質的に垂直な流体の流 れを前記流体出口を流れる実質的に水平な流体の流れに変えるものである請求項 9の流体の処理システム。 11. 前記長軸が実質的に水平である請求項7の流体の処理システム。 12. 前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーの外側から不要の物質を除去 する洗浄手段を更に含む請求項1の流体の処理システム。 13. 前記洗浄手段が前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーを囲む洗浄ス リーブを含み、前記洗浄スリーブは前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーの 最初の部分が前記流体の流れに曝される後退した位置と前記少なくとも1つの照 射源アセンブリーの最初の部分が前記洗浄スリーブで覆われる伸ばした位置との 間を移動できるものである請求項12の流体の処理システム。 14. 前記洗浄スリーブが前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーの外側を 囲んで接触している室を含み、前記室には前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブ リーの外側から不要物質を除去するに適した洗浄液が供給されるものである請求 項13の流体の処理システム。 15. 前記洗浄スリーブが前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーの外表面 と前記洗浄スリーブとの間のシールを含み、前記シールは前記洗浄スリーブが後 退した位置と伸ばした位置との間を動く時に前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセン ブリーの外側から不要物質の1部を除去するものである請求項14の流体の処理 システム。 16. 前記洗浄液の供給が前記洗浄スリーブに圧入され、その圧力によって前 記洗浄スリーブが前記伸ばした位置まで伸ばされる請求項14の流体の処理シス テム。 17. 前記洗浄スリーブから圧入された洗浄液を取り除くことにより前記洗浄 スリーブを前記後退した位置まで後退させる請求項16の流体の処理システム。 18. 上流から前記照射区域中まで伸びて位置しているいる第1照射源アセン ブリー及び下流から前記照射区域中まで伸びて位置しているいる第2照射源アセ ンブリーを含む請求項6の流体の処理シ ステム。 19. 下記を含む流体の処理システムに使用するための照射源モジュール: 支持部材、 前記支持部材から伸びた少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリー、及び 照射源モジュールを流体処理システム中に固定する固定手段。 20. 前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーをはるかに越えて、ガイド及 び支持具が前記支持部材から伸びている請求項19の照射源モジュール。 21. 前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーが紫外線源を含む請求項19 の照射源モジュール。 22. 前記照射源アセンブリーが更に前記紫外線源と前記流体との間に絶縁ギ ャップを与えるためのスリーブを前記紫外線源の周りに含んでいる請求項20の 照射源モジュール。 23. 前記支持部材が、その中を通して前記照射源アセンブリーに電力供給が なされる管路手段を含んでいる請求項19の照射源モジュール。 24. 少なくとも2つの紫外線源がそれぞれの支持部材に連結されている請求 項21の照射源モジュール。 25. 下記を含む流体の処理システム中の照射源アセンブリーの洗浄装置: 前記照射源アセンブリーの外側の1部にはめ込まれた洗浄スリーブ で、前記少なくとも1つの照射源の最初の部分が被処理流体の流れに曝される後 退した位置と前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーの最初の部分が完全に又 は部分的に前記洗浄スリーブで覆われる伸ばした位置との間を移動できるもので あり、前記洗浄スリーブが前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーの最初の部 分と接触している室を含み、その室には前記最初の部分から不要物質を除去する に適した洗浄液が供給される。 26. 前記洗浄スリーブが更に前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーの外 表面と前記洗浄スリーブとの間に少なくとも1つのシールを含み、前記少なくと も1つのシールは前記洗浄スリーブが後退した位置と伸ばした位置との間を動く 時に前記少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーの外側から不要物質の1部を除去 するものである請求項25の洗浄装置。 27. 前記洗浄液の供給が前記洗浄スリーブに圧入され、その圧力によって前 記洗浄スリーブが前記伸ばした位置まで伸ばされる請求項25の洗浄装置。 28. 前記洗浄スリーブから圧入された洗浄液を取り除くことにより前記洗浄 スリーブを前記後退した位置まで後退させる請求項26の洗浄装置。 29. 前記洗浄スリーブが少なくとも2つの照射源アセンブリーの外側の1部 に取り付けられている請求項25の洗浄装置。 30. 前記洗浄スリーブが前記洗浄スリーブを後退した位置と伸ばした位置と の間で動かす少なくとも1つの手段に連結されている請求項29の洗浄装置。 31. 前記少なくとも1つの動かす手段が水圧で操作される請求項30の洗浄 装置。 32. 前記少なくとも1つの動かす手段が空気圧で操作される請求項30の洗 浄装置。 33. 下記の工程を含む流体の処理方法、 (i) 流体入口に重力による流体の供給流れを設ける、 (ii) 流体入口からの流体の流れを少なくとも1つの照射源を含み且つ閉断 面を持つ照射区域に供給する、 (iii) 流体の流れを少なくとも1つの照射源アセンブリーから予め定められ た最大距離内に限定する、 (iv) 流体の流れを照射源からの照射に曝す、及び (v) 工程(iv)からの流体の流れを流体出口に供給する。 34. 流体の流れを、前記流体入口で第1速度、前記照射区域で第2速度、前 記流体出口で第3速度とする請求項33の方法。 35. 前記第2速度が、前記第1速度及び前記第3速度のうちの少なくとも1 つより大である請求項34の方法。 36. 前記第2速度が、前記第1速度及び前記第3速度の両方より大である請 求項34の方法。 37. 前記第3速度が実質的に前記第1速度と同じである請求項36の方法。 38. 工程(ii)に先立って、そこでの流速を増加させる移行領域に流体の流 れを導入する請求項36の方法。 39. 工程(v)に先立って、そこでの流速を減少させる移行領域に流体の流 れを導入する請求項36の方法。 40. 流体の処理システム中で照射源から汚損物質をその場で除去する下記の 工程を含む方法、 (i) 洗浄室に洗浄液を供給する、 (ii) 前記洗浄室を前記照射源の少なくとも1部分に対して動かしそれと所 定時間接触させ、前記洗浄室には前記部分と接触する前記洗浄液を保持する、 (iii) 所定時間後、前記洗浄室と前記照射源の前記少なくとも1部分との接 触を解く。 41. 前記洗浄室が前記部分をスライドするように取り付けたシール材を含み 、前記洗浄室が前記部分と接触したり非接触したりするように動く時に、前記部 分を掃いて汚損物質を更に除去する請求項40の方法。 42. 洗浄室が少なくとも2つの照射源の同様な場所と同時に接触する請求項 40の方法。 43. 前記洗浄室が前記洗浄液によって実質的に連続的に加圧され、照射源か ら汚損物質を除去するための内側向きスプレー手段を有している請求項40の方 法。 44. 洗浄室が固定され、照射源がそれに対し相対的に動いて照射源から汚損 物質を除去する請求項40の方法。 45. 洗浄室が、洗浄室と接触している際に前記照射源をこするのを強めるた めのこすり取り手段を更に含んでいる請求項40の方法。 46. 下記を含む照射センサーアセンブリー、 センサー・ハウジング(筐体)、 上記センサー・ハウジング(筐体)中に納められ、かつ照射源に対して露出し ている部分を含む照射伝達手段、 前記伝達手段から照射を受け取る照射センサー、及び 上記部分を汚損している物質を除去する手段。 47.物質を除去する前記手段が前記部分に洗浄液を導くジェットを含む請求項 46の照射センサーアセンブリー
