Claims (12)
- 1.(i)各ウェルが光が通過できる窓を規定する構造を有する、サンプルウェ ルのアレイを受けるトレー、(ii)光検出器アセンブリ、および(iii)該 トレーが受けた該サンプルウェルの窓を一定の順序で該光検出器アセンブリに整 合するために、少なくとも一つの方向に該トレーと該光検出器アセンブリを相対 的に移動させるための手段、を有するルミノメータであって、該光検出器アセン ブリは改良点として、各サンプルウェルに隣接して配置可能なステージ、光の透 過が可能な検出開口部を有する光検出ヘッド、そのようなウェルを該トレーに受 けて該検出開口部が選択されたサンプルウェルの窓に整合されるときに、該検出 開口部が隣接サンプルウェルから発せられる光から実質的に遮断されるサンプル 読み取り位置に接近しあるいは離れるように該光検出ヘッドを動かすために、該 ヘッドを該ステージ上に載置する手段、および 該光検出器ヘッドをそのサンプル読み取り位置に向かって傾ける手段を有する、 ルミノメータ。
- 2.前記載置手段が前記光検出ヘッドがX−Y平面に対して実質的に垂直な方向 に移動することを可能にする、サンプルウェルの平面的X−Yアレイに使用する ための、請求項1に記載のルミノメータ。
- 3.前記光検出ヘッドの検出開口部が前記選択されたサンプルウェルの窓に整合 されて、該ヘッドが該選択されたサンプルに向かって傾けられるとき、そのサン プル読み取り位置において、前記隣接サンプルウェルの一つから発せられる光1 0,000部に対し約1部より少ない光が前記光検出器アセンブリによって検出 される、請求項1に記載のルミノメータ。
- 4.さらに光検出器内部較正システムを有する請求項1に記載のルミノメータで あって、該システムは、(i)気密的に封止された室、(ii)該室の温度を予 め選択された温度に維持するための温度制御手段、および、該室の内部に、(i ii)光源、(iv)該光源から発せられた光を検出するための光センサ、およ び(V)前記光検出器アセンブリが内部較正ステーションに移されたときに、該 光源から発せられた該光を該アセンブリの光検出ヘッドに導く手段、および、( vi)該光センサで受光した光強度を実質的に一定に保つために該光源からの光 出力を制御するための回路手段を有する、ルミノメータ。
- 5.さらに前記トレーで受けることのできる外部較正システムを有する請求項1 に記載のルミノメータであって、該システムが、光源、各々が光を通過させ得る 窓を規定する複数の光ウェル、各々が該光源から関連する光ウェルヘの光の通過 を可能にする複数のチャネル、および該光ウェルに所定の率の光強度をもたらす ための各チャネルに関連する開口部を有する、ルミノメータ。
- 6.加熱用プレートと、前記トレーを該プレートから加熱関係で離間する手段と を有する、請求項1に記載のルミノメータ。
- 7.光源と、各々が光を通過させ得る窓を規定する複数の光ウエルと、各々が該 光源から関連する光ウェルヘの光の通過を可能にする複数のチャネルと、該光ウ ェルにおいて所定の率の光強度をもたらすための各チャネルに関連する開口部と を有し、ルミノメータのトレーで受けることのできる外部較正システム。
- 8.各サンプルウェルが受光可能な窓を規定する上縁構造を有するサンプルウェ ルの平面的アレイ、および、(i)ステージ、(ii)開口部を規定する手段を 有する光検出器ヘッド、(iii)そのようなウェルを該トレーに受けて該検出 開口部が選択されたサンプルウェルの窓に整合されたときに、該検出開口部が隣 接サンプルウェルから発する光から実質的に遮断されるサンプル読み取り位置に 接近しあるいは離れるように該光検出ヘッドを動かすために該ヘッドをステージ 上に載置する手段、および、(iv)該光検出ヘッドをそのサンプル読み取り位 置に向かって傾ける手段、および、該アレイ内の各ウェルを連続的に光検出器ア センブリと整合させるために、そのサンプル読み取り位置に接近しあるいは離れ るような該光検出ヘッドの動きの方向に実質的に垂直な平面内で該光検出器アセ ンブリとサンプルアレイを相対的に移動させる手段であって、該相対的動きがそ のサンプル読み取り位置に接近しあるいは離れるような該光検出ヘッドの動きに より調節される手段、を有する該光検出器アセンブリ、を有し、複数のサンプル の各々のルミネセンスを測定するように設計されたルミノメータで使用される検 出システム。
- 9.前記光検出器アセンブリが前記サンプルに対して動かされる際に前記光検出 器ヘッドと前記サンプルウェルの間の摩擦係数を減らす機能を有する、該サンプ ルウェルを覆う接着性フィルム、をさらに有する請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 10.複数のルミネセンスサンプルの一つからの光を検出する方法であって、 光検出ヘッドを該一つのルミネセンスサンプルを入れたサンプルウェルに隣接し て配置すること、および、該光検出ヘッドを該サンプルウェルに対して傾け、そ れによって核ヘッドが該一つのサンプルから発せられる光を検出することと、及 び残りのサンプルから発せられる光から該ヘッドを実質的に遮断することを可能 にすること、を包含する方法。
- 11.前記光検出ヘッドが前記サンプルウェルおよび介在する透明なフィルムに 対して傾けられる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 12.気密的に封止された室、該室の温度を予め選択された温度に保つための温 度制御手段、および、該室の中に、光源、該光源から発せられた光を検出するた めの光センサ、光検出器アセンブリが内部較正ステーションに移されたときに該 光源から発せられた光を該光検出器アセンブリの光検出ヘッドに導く手段、およ び、該光検出器アセンブリがその内部較正位置にあるときに該アセンブリで受光 される光強度を実質的に一定に保つために該光源の光出力を制御する手段を有す る、光検出器内部較正システム。
