Claims (15)
- 1.少なくとも1種の脂質に結合した脂肪酸中の不飽和脂肪酸の含量が、本来の 組成よりも高くなったことを特徴とする形質転換植物。
- 2.パルミトイル−アシルキャリアタンパク質よりも、オレオイル−アシルキャ リアタンパク質に対して、より高い基質選択性を持つグリセロール−3−リン酸 アシルトランスフェラーゼ活性を有するポリペプチドをコードする外来性DNA 配列が細胞内に存在することを特徴とする、請求の範囲第1項記載の形質転換植 物。
- 3.ポリペプチドが、低温耐性植物由来のグリセロール−3−リン酸アシルトラ ンスフェラーゼまたはその誘導体である、請求の範囲第2項記載の形質転換植物 。
- 4.低温耐性植物が、ホウレンソウ、エンドウ、またはシロイヌナズナである、 請求の範囲第3項記載の形質転換植物。
- 5.パルミトイル−アシルキャリアタンパク質よりも、オレオイル−アシルキャ リアタンパク質に対して、より高い基質選択性を持つグリセロール−3−リン酸 アシルトランスフェラーゼ活性を有するポリペプチドをコードする外来性DNA 配列を高等植物の細胞に導入することにより、この植物の脂質に結合した脂肪酸 中の不飽和脂肪酸の含量を本来の組成よりもを高くする方法。
- 6.ポリペプチドが、低温耐性植物由来のグリセロール−3−リン酸アシルトラ ンスフェラーゼまたはその誘導体である、請求の範囲第5項記載の方法。
- 7.低温耐性植物が、ホウレンソウ、エンドウ、またはシロイヌナズナである、 請求の範囲第6項記載の方法。
- 8.本来低温傷害を受ける植物であって、この植物の細胞の生体膜中に含まれて いるホスファチジルグリセロールの飽和分子種含量が本来の組成により低下し、 かつこの植物に本来傷害を引き起こす温度より低い温度でも傷害を受けないよう になった、形質転換植物。
- 9.パルミトイル−アシルキャリアタンパク質よりも、オレオイル−アシルキャ リアタンパク質に対して、より高い基質選択性を持つグリセロール−3−リン酸 アシルトランスフェラーゼ活性を有するポリペプチドをコードする外来性DNA 配列が細胞内に存在することを特徴とする、請求の範囲第8項記載の形質転換植 物。
- 10.ポリペプチドが、低温耐性植物由来のグリセロール−3−リン酸アシルト ランスフェラーゼまたはその誘導体である、請求の範囲第9項記載の形質転換植 物。
- 11.低温耐性植物が、ホウレンソウ、エンドウ、またはシロイヌナズナである 、請求の範囲第10項記載の形質転換植物。
- 12.植物細胞の生体膜中に含まれているホスファチジルグリセロールの飽和、 分子種含量を低下させることにより、本来低温傷害を受ける植物に、この植物に 本来傷害を引き起こす温度より低い温度でも傷害を受けない性質を与える方法。
- 13.パルミトイル−アシルキャリアタンパク質よりも、オレオイル−アシルキ ャリアタンパク質に対して、より高い基質選択性を持つグリセロール−3−リン 酸アシルトランスフェラーゼ活性を有するポリペプチドをコードする外来性DN A配列を高等植物の細胞に導入することを特徴とする、請求の範囲第12項記載 の方法。
- 14.ポリペプチドが、低温耐性植物由来のグリセロール−3−リン酸アシルト ランスフェラーゼまたはその誘導体である、請求の範囲第13項記載の方法。
- 15.低温耐性植物が、ホウレンソウ、エンドウ、またはシロイヌナズナである 、請求の範囲第14項記載の方法。
