Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は半導体装置に関し、特に半導体装置で外部から
供給される電源を内部ゲートへ供給することに関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来、この種のゲート・アレー半導体装置は、第２図に
示す様に内部ゲートへの電源供給は電源パッド８と電源
バス９を接続して品種による内部ゲートの使用状況に関
係なく、共通の電源供給系路を用いて行っていた。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上述した従来の半導体装置は、外部から半導体装置への
電源供給位置が固定されているため、ゲート・アレー半
導体装置の様に品種による内部ゲートの使用状況が異な
るものは、内部ゲートへの外部からの電源供給が品種ご
とに最適にならず、半導体装置内の内部ゲートの位置に
よる電源マージンのばらつきが大きく、半導体装置とし
ての電源マージンが小さくなり、外部から加える電源の
電位変動によって動作が不安定になるという欠点がある
。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明の半導体装置は、外部から電源を供給する外部電
源バスと内部ゲートへ電源を供給する内部電源バスと外
部電源バスと内部電源バスを接続する配線を有している
。
このように、本発明は、外部から電源を供給する外部電
源バスを設け、内部ゲートの使用状況に応じ、内部ゲー
トを多く使用し電源供給を多く必要とする箇所は、近く
で外部電源バスと内部ゲートの電源を供給する内部電源
バスを配線で接続し内部ゲートの電源マージンを確保し
て、半導体装置の動作を安定させている。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例である。■はゲート・アレー
半導体装置、２は外部から電源を供給する外部電源バス
、３は内部ゲートへ電源を供給する内部電源バス、４は
外部電源バスと内部電源バスをつなぐ、接続配線、５は
信号用パッド、６は内部ゲート使用領域である。
ゲート・アレー半導体装置１において、信号用パッド５
の外側に外部電源バス２を設け、この外部電源バス２に
外部から電源を供給する。ゲート・アレー半導体装置の
ため品種によって内部ゲートの使用状況が異なるので、
内部ゲートへの電源供給は、内部ゲートを多く使用して
いる箇所の、近くの外部電源バス２から内部電源バス３
へ接続配線４を用いて接続し、内部ゲートへ供給する。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明した様に本発明は、半導体装置上に外部電源バ
スを設け、内部ゲートの使用状況に応じ、内部ゲートを
多く使用している箇所の外部電源バスと内部電源バスを
接続配線で接続して、内部ゲートへ電源を供給すること
により、電源供給が必要な箇所の近くで供給するため、
内部電源バスによる電位降下を少なく出来、内部ゲート
の電源マージンを確保して内部ゲートの動作状態を安定
させ、半導体装置内の内部ゲートの位置による電源マー
ジンのばらつきを小さくして、外部の電源電位変動の影
響を小さくする効果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. ゲート・アレー半導体装置において、半導体装置に外部
    から直接電源を供給できる外部電源バスと、内部ゲート
    へ電源を供給する内部電源バスと、外部電源バスト内部
    電源バスを接続する配線とを有することを特徴とする半
    導体装置。
