Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はプリンタに関し、特に総稼［有］時間検出機構
に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来、この種のプリンタ装置は総稼面時間の検出機能を
備えていなかった。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上述した従来のプリンタは総稼働時間を検出できないた
め、既に寿命がつきた印字ヘッド１インクリボン、カー
ドボルダなどの消耗部品をそのまま使用し、用紙ジャム
や印字不良などの障害が発生するという欠点がある。
本発明の目的は前記課題を解決したプリンタの総稼働時
間検出Ｒ梢を提供することにある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
前記目的を達成するため、本発明に係る総稼働時間検出
機構はプリンタのスペーシングモータの駆動信号のパル
ス列をカウントするカウンタと、前記カウンタのカウン
ト数を時間に変換しかつ記憶する制御部と、前記制御部
により計算された総時間を表示する表示部とを有するも
のである。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例のブロック図である。
図において、１はカウンタ、２は制御部、３は表示部で
ある。カウンタ１はスペーシングモータの駆動信号のパ
ルス列をカウントし、制御部２は前記カウント数を時間
に変換し、かつ記憶し、その出力信号を表示部３に総稼
働時間として表示する。
また、前記制御部２は不揮発性メモリーを有し、電源切
後も総稼働時間を記憶する。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は、プリンタの総稼働時間を
検出し、印字ヘッド、インクリボン、カードホルダなど
の消耗部品の寿命を知ることにより、適切な時期に消耗
部品の交換を行うことができ、用紙ジャムや印字不良な
どの障害を未然に防ぐことができる効果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）プリンタのスペーシングモータの駆動信号のパル
    ス列をカウントするカウンタと、前記カウンタのカウン
    ト数を時間に変換しかつ記憶する制御部と、前記制御部
    により計算された総時間を表示する表示部とを有するこ
    とを特徴とするプリンタの総稼働時間検出機構。
