Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は異種材料樹脂部品の超音波溶着方法に関するも
のである。
〔従来の技術〕
従来、異種材料樹脂部品の接合方法としては接着材、タ
ンピング締、超音波溶着等を用いている。超音波溶着に
よる方法は接合すべき樹脂部品以外のものが接合部に介
在しないので優れた方法である。
従来の超音波溶着法の一例を第3図に示す。
溶着工程の前工程で樹脂部品lに慣通孔3を開けておき
、樹脂部品2にボス4を立てておく。
樹脂部品1と2を第3図(a)のように重ね合わせ、次
いで第3図(b)のようにボス4を超音波で溶融しアン
カー効果により接合する。
又、本願出願人は特開昭81−197223号公報に開
示された、異種の合成樹脂材料を重ね合わせ、その一方
から超音波を付与し、両者の合成樹脂材料を接合するに
あたり、前記異種の合成樹脂材料のうち、上部に配設す
る合成樹脂材料にテーパ面を有する貫通孔を形成した後
、両者の合成樹脂材料を重ね合わせ、上部の合成樹脂材
料の貫通孔から超音波発振器の摺動部材を挿通し、その
先端を下部の合成樹脂材料の表面に当接させつつ超音波
を付与して加熱・溶融させると共に、その溶融物を貫通
孔のテーパ面に隆起させる異種合成樹脂材料の接合方法
を提案した。
第4図(a)ないしくd)にその−例を示す。第4図(
a)のように慣通孔5を開けた樹脂部品lと樹脂部品2
とを重ね合わせ、第4図(b)のように半球状の溝7を
形成した振動部材6を樹脂部品2に当接し、超音波振動
を付与して樹脂部品2を溶融し、図中A方向に押圧して
第4図(c)のように圧入した後、第4図(d)のよう
に振動部材6をB方向に引き抜く。
更に、本願出願人は特開昭81−270138号公報に
開示された、合成樹脂材料を重ね合わせ、その一方の合
成樹脂材料の表面に振動部材を当接して、この振動部材
に超音波を付与しつつ、合成樹脂材料を溶融せしめ、そ
の溶融物によって両者の合成樹脂材料を接合するにあた
り、前記合成樹脂材料と接触する部位に溝が形成された
振動部材を用いて接合するか、又はこの際前記溝が形成
された振動部材を回転させつつ、超音波を付与して接合
する合成樹脂材料の接合方法を提案した。
第5図(a)ないしくd)にその−例を示す。第5図(
a)のように樹脂部品lと樹脂部品2とを重ね合わせ、
第5図(b)のように溝9及び10を形成した振動部材
8を樹脂部品1に当接し、超音波振動を付与して樹脂部
品1及び2を溶融し、所望により回転させながら図中入
方向に押圧して第5図(C)のように圧入した後、第5
図(d)のように振動部材8をB方向に引き抜く 。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上記従来の超音波溶着方法において、第3図の方法は芯
ずれが発生し易く、又芯ずれを防ぐために慣通孔3の孔
径を大きくすると、ポス4の溶融量不足により溶着強度
が低下する等の問題が発生するため、大物部品には用い
ることができない。
又、特開昭81−197223号公報記載の第4図の方
法は、予め樹脂部品lにテーパ面を有する慣通孔5を設
けなければならず、又、樹脂部品2の溶融物は樹脂部品
1のテーパ面に係止されるため、アンカー効果が十分で
はない。
更に特開昭Ell−270138号公報記載の第5図の
方法は、樹脂部品lと樹脂部品2とが溶融混合する部分
がテーパ面を形成するため上記と同様アンカー効果が十
分ではない。又、振動部材8の形状が円錐状であるため
樹脂部品2の溶融混合量が少なく接合強度が不足する場
合が起り得る。
本発明は上記従来技術における問題点を解決するための
ものであり、その目的とするところは接合品の溶着強度
が大きく、作業性に優れ、大物部品の接合にも適用でき
る異種材料樹脂部品の超音波溶着方法を提供することに
ある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
上記目的を達成するため、本発明の異種材料樹脂部品の
超音波溶着方法は、 (a)異種材料からなる樹脂部品を重ね合わせ、(b)
先端にテーパ形状を付した板状部を有する振動部材の該
板状部を、上層の第1の樹脂部品に当接させつつ超音波
を付与して加熱Φ溶融しその厚さ分圧入し、 (C)回転させて前記第1の樹脂部品の溶融部をその表
面に押し出して、形成された凹部周辺に隆起させ、次い
で (d)上記と同様にして下層の第2の樹脂部品を加熱・
溶融し前記板状部を所定深さ圧入し、(e)逆回転させ
て前記第2の樹脂部品の溶融部を押し出して、前記第1
の樹脂部品の溶融部上に被覆する、ことを特徴とするも
のである。
本発明を適用できる樹脂部品は、超音波振動を付与する
ことにより溶融し流動可能となるものであれば特に限定
されない。又、樹脂部品の大きさも、例えばインストル
メントパネルアッシーのような大きなものであってもよ
い。
振動部材としては上記形状のもので、溶着すべき部品に
応じて適する大きさのものを選ぶ。
超音波発生装置などは通常この分野で用いられているも
のであってよい。
〔作 用〕
上記のように、振動部材の一連の動作の中で樹脂部品に
孔を開は相互に溶着するため、前工程での穿孔などの加
工が不要となり、又、芯ずれなどの問題も起こらない、
。更に、振動部材の大きさを選ぶことによりアンカー効
果を大きくでき、十分な溶着強度を確保できる。
〔実施例〕
以下の実施例において本発明を更に詳細に説明する。な
お、本発明は下記実施例に限定されるものではない。
第1図(a)ないしくC)に、本発明の方法において使
用する板状部12を有する振動部材11の一例を示す。
第1図(a)は正面図、第1図(b)は側面図、第1図
(c)は下面図である。
第2図(a)ないしくe)において本発明の方法の一実
施例を説明する。
樹脂部品1と樹脂部品2とを重ね合わせ、振動部材11
の板状部12を上層の樹脂部品1に当接し、超音波を付
与して加熱・溶融して第2図(a)のように樹脂部品1
の厚さ分圧入する。次いで、矢印方向に80度回転させ
て樹脂部品lの溶融部13を第2図(b)のように樹脂
部品lの表面に押し出して、形成された凹部周辺に隆起
させる。次いで同様にして樹脂部品2を加熱・溶融して
第2図(c)のように板状部12を樹脂部品2に所定深
さ圧入する。次いで矢印方向に90度逆回転させて樹脂
部品2の溶融部14を樹脂部品lの溶融部I3上に被覆
する。第2図(e)は第2図(d)のC−C線に沿った
断面図である。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明の方法は上記構成を有するため、接合品の溶着強
度が大きく、又従来の方法における穿孔やタッピング締
めなどの工程が不必要であるため作業性が向上する。更
にインストルメントパネルアッシーなどの大物部品にも
適用できる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 (a)異種材料からなる樹脂部品を重ね合わせ、 (b)先端にテーパ形状を付した板状部を有する振動部
    材の該板状部を、上層の第1の樹脂部品に当接させつつ
    超音波を付与して加熱・溶融しその厚さ分圧入し、 (c)回転させて前記第1の樹脂部品の溶融部をその表
    面に押し出して、形成された凹部周辺に隆起させ、次い
    で (d)上記と同様にして下層の第2の樹脂部品を加熱・
    溶融し前記板状部を所定深さ圧入し、 (e)逆回転させて前記第2の樹脂部品の溶融部を押し
    出して、前記第1の樹脂部品の溶融部上に被覆する、 ことを特徴とする異種材料樹脂部品の超音波溶着方法。
