Description
Claims (9)
- アウターチューブと、前記アウターチューブ内に移動可能に挿入されるロッドとを有して伸縮可能な緩衝器本体と、
前記緩衝器本体内に設けられる二つの作動室を並列して連通するメイン通路とサブ通路と、
前記メイン通路に設けられるメイン減衰力発生要素と、
前記サブ通路に設けられるサブ減衰力発生要素とを備え、
前記メイン減衰力発生要素は、前記メイン通路を開閉するメインバルブのみを有し、
前記サブ減衰力発生要素は、前記サブ通路に直列に設けられるオリフィスと前記サブ通路を開閉するとともに開弁圧が前記メインバルブよりも低いサブバルブとを有し、
伸縮速度が微低速域の場合には前記サブバルブにより減衰力を発生し、伸縮速度が微低速域よりも高い低速域の場合には前記オリフィスにより減衰力を発生し、伸縮速度が低速域よりも高い中高速域の場合には前記メインバルブにより減衰力を発生する
ことを特徴とする緩衝器。 - 前記オリフィスは、可変オリフィスである
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の緩衝器。 - 前記オリフィスは、固定オリフィスである
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の緩衝器。 - 前記メインバルブは、環状であって外周の撓みが許容される積層リーフバルブであり、
前記サブバルブは、環状であって外周の撓みが許容される環状弁体を有し、
前記サブバルブの撓みの支点は、前記メインバルブの撓みの支点よりも径方向で内周側に設けられている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の緩衝器。 - 前記アウターチューブ内に挿入されるとともに前記アウターチューブ内に前記二つの作動室を区画する隔壁部材を備え、
前記メイン通路は、前記隔壁部材に設けられるメインポートで形成され、
前記メインバルブは、前記隔壁部材に積層されるリーフバルブである
ことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の緩衝器。 - 前記隔壁部材を貫く軸部材を備え、
前記サブ通路は、前記軸部材内を通過する部分を有する
ことを特徴する請求項5に記載の緩衝器。 - 前記軸部材の先端に装着されて前記隔壁部材を前記軸部材に固定するとともに前記サブ通路の一部が形成されるバルブホルダを備え、
前記サブバルブは、前記バルブホルダに保持される
ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の緩衝器。 - 前記サブバルブは、
内周あるいは外周の一方が固定されて固定端とされ内周あるいは外周の他方を自由端として撓みが許容されるとともに前記サブ通路に設けられる環状弁体と、
前記環状弁体の自由端との間に環状隙間を開けて対向する環状対向部とを有する
ことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の緩衝器。 - 前記環状弁体と前記環状対向部との間の環状隙間の開口面積は、前記オリフィスの開口面積よりも小さい
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の緩衝器。
