Description
本発明について実施形態に基づき詳しく説明する。本発明の一実施形態に係るシリコーン組成物は、液状シリコーンと、比重4.5以上の高比重軟磁性充填材と、比重4.0以下の中比重熱伝導性充填材と、非液状の増粘抑制沈降防止剤と、を含むことを特徴とする。本明細書において、以下、「比重4.5以上の高比重軟磁性充填材」を「高比重軟磁性充填材」と略して記載することもある。同様に、「比重4.0以下の中比重熱伝導性充填材」を「中比重熱伝導性充填材」と略して記載することもある。また、「非液状の増粘抑制沈降防止剤」を「増粘抑制沈降防止剤」と略して記載することもある。
まず、液状シリコーンについて説明する。本発明一実施形態で使用される液状シリコーンは、硬化性を有しない液状シリコーンと硬化可能な液状シリコーンの双方を含む。液状シリコーンの具体例としては、ジメチルポリシロキサン、メチルフェニルポリシロキサンなどのオルガノポリシロキサン;アルケニル基やエポキシ基、アクリロイル基、アミノ基等の反応基によって置換された変性シリコーンなどが挙げられる。本発明の一実施形態の用途に使用できる液状シリコーンであれば、特に制限はないが、例えば電磁波吸収および放熱性の用途では高い柔軟性が望まれることから、付加反応型の液状シリコーンが好適である。付加反応型の液状シリコーンは、硬化収縮が小さいため、電子機器要素などの発熱体とヒートシンクなどの放熱体との間に硬化させて埋め込む際に、隙間が生じにくい。
次に、比重4.5以上の高比重軟磁性充填材について説明する。比重4.5以上の高比重軟磁性充填材は、主に、高周波成分(例えば10MHz~10GHz)のみならず、超高周波成分(例えば10~20GHz)からなるノイズを抑制するために配合される。本明細書において、比重は、対象物の密度を水の密度1.0g/cm3で割った値で記載している。
次に、比重4.0以下の中比重熱伝導性充填材について説明する。中比重熱伝導性充填材は、主に、本発明の一実施形態に係るシリコーン組成物の放熱性を向上させるために配合される。
次に、非液状の増粘抑制沈降防止剤について説明する。ここで用いる増粘抑制沈降防止剤は、それを加えることで系の粘度上昇を抑えて、高比重軟磁性充填材および中比重熱伝導性充填材の沈降、特に高比重軟磁性充填材の沈降を防止する機能を奏するものである。非液状の増粘抑制沈降防止剤は、一般的な粘度を低下させる低粘度液体とは異なり、配合されたシリコーン組成物中で固形状やゲル状等の非液状の形態で存在する。
上述した組成を有するシリコーン組成物には、その機能を損なわない範囲で種々の添加剤を含ませることができる。例えば分散剤、難燃剤、カップリング剤、可塑剤、硬化遅延剤、酸化防止剤、着色剤、触媒などを適宜添加してもよい。
本発明の一実施形態に係る硬化型グリスは、使用時に混合して使用する主剤と硬化剤とを組み合わせた2液硬化型の混合により硬化する2液硬化型の硬化型グリスである。前記主剤は、上述したシリコーン組成物であって、液状シリコーンが、ビニル基を末端に有するオルガノポリシロキサンである。前記硬化剤は、上述したシリコーン組成物でであって、液状シリコーンが、末端または側鎖に2個以上のH-Si基を有するオルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサンである。
試料1-1:
液状シリコーン1として、付加反応型の液状シリコーンであるビニル末端オルガノポリシロキサン(比重1、商品名:KE-1012-A、信越化学工業株式会社製)100質量部と、高比重軟磁性充填材として、軟磁性Ni-Znフェライト(平均粒径:80μm、比重:5.18)760質量部と、中比重熱伝導性充填材として、球状アルミナ1(平均粒径:4.5μm、比重:3.94)200質量部および球状アルミナ2(平均粒径:3μm、比重:3.94)100質量部および多面体形状の球状に近いα-アルミナ単結晶粒子(平均粒径:0.5μm、比重:3.94)80質量部および水酸化アルミニウム(平均粒径:1μm、比重:2.4)40質量部と、ビニルシランカップリング剤(比重:1)1質量部と、白金触媒(比重:1)0.3質量部と、増粘抑制沈降防止剤1として、その表面をカルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウムでコーティングした結晶セルロース(平均粒径:21μm)6質量部と、を配合し、プラネタリーミキサーで攪拌して混合して、シリコーン組成物1A(主剤)を調製した。
試料1で用いた液状シリコーン1の代わりに、液状シリコーン2として付加反応型の液状シリコーンである末端に2個以上のH-Si基を有するオルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサン(比重1、商品名:KE-1012-B、信越化学工業株式会社製)100質量部を配合し、白金触媒を配合しなかった以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物1B(硬化剤)を調製した。
試料2-1は、試料1-1の増粘抑制沈降防止剤1として用いた「表面をカルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウムでコーティングした結晶セルロース」の配合量を6質量部から12質量部に代えた以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物2Aを調製した。
試料2-2は、試料1-2の増粘抑制沈降防止剤1として用いた「表面をカルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウムでコーティングした結晶セルロース」の配合量を6質量部から12質量部に代えた以外は、試料1-2と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物2Bを調製した。
試料3-1,4-1は、試料1-1で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1の代わりに、増粘抑制沈降防止剤2として、フュームド混合酸化物(SiO2とAl2O3の混合物、商品名:AEROSIL(登録商標)COK 84、日本アエロジル株式会社)を用い、それぞれ表2に記載の配合量(1.7重量部、3.4重量部)で配合し、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物3A,4Aを調製した。
試料3-2,4-2は、試料1-2で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1の代わりに、増粘抑制沈降防止剤2として、フュームド混合酸化物(SiO2とAl2O3の混合物、商品名:AEROSIL(登録商標)COK 84、日本アエロジル株式会社)を用い、それぞれ表2に記載の配合量(1.7重量部、3.4重量部)で配合した以外は、試料1-2と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物3B,4Bを調製した。
対照試料1-1は、試料1-1で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1を添加しない以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物1A’を調製した。また、対照試料1-2は、試料1-2で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1を添加しない以外は、試料1-2と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物1B’を調製した。
試料5-1は、試料1-1で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1の代わりに、増粘抑制沈降防止剤3としてアルキル四級アンモニウムクレイ(商品名:GARAMITE-7303、BYK Additives & Instruments製)を1重量部配合した以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物5Aを調製した。
試料6-1は、試料1-1で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1の代わりに、増粘抑制沈降防止剤4として細長い粒子のセルロース粉末(平均粒径:50μm、安息角:57°)を6重量部配合した以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物6Aを調製した。
試料7-1は、試料1で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1の代わりに、増粘抑制沈降防止剤5として丸い形状のセルロース粉末(平均粒径:100μm、安息角:34°)を6重量部配合した以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物7Aを調製した。
試料8-1は、試料1-1で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1の代わりに、増粘抑制沈降防止剤6としてデンプン(コーンスターチ)(平均粒径:500μm、安息角:48°)を6重量部配合した以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物8Aを調製した。
試料9-1は、試料1-1で用いた増粘抑制沈降防止剤1の代わりに、増粘抑制沈降防止剤7としてキトサン(平均粒径:180μm、安息角:52°)を6重量部配合した以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物9Aを調製した。
試料10-1は、高比重軟磁性充填材1として、Fe-Cr系の鉄合金であるマルテンサイト系ステンレス鋼(12.5%Cr、平均粒径:10μm、比重:7.6)1400質量部、中比重熱伝導性充填材として、球状アルミナ3(平均粒径:70μm、比重:3.94)200質量部、多面体形状の球状に近いα-アルミナ単結晶粒子(平均粒径:0.5μm、比重:3.94)80質量部および水酸化アルミニウム(平均粒径:1μm、比重:2.4)40質量部に代えた以外は、対照試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物10A(主剤)を調製した。
試料10-2は、試料10-1で用いた液状シリコーン1の代わりに、液状シリコーン2として付加反応型の液状シリコーンである末端に2個以上のH-Si基を有するオルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサン(比重1、商品名:KE-1012-B、信越化学工業株式会社製)100質量部を配合し、白金触媒を配合しなかった以外は、試料10-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物10B(硬化剤)を調製した。
試料11-1は、高比重軟磁性充填材1として、Fe-Cr系の鉄合金であるマルテンサイト系ステンレス鋼(12.5%Cr、平均粒径:10μm、比重:7.6)1400質量部、中比重熱伝導性充填材として、球状アルミナ3(平均粒径:70μm、比重:3.94)200質量部、多面体形状の球状に近いα-アルミナ単結晶粒子(平均粒径:0.5μm、比重:3.94)80質量部および水酸化アルミニウム(平均粒径:1μm、比重:2.4)40質量部に代えた以外は、試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物11A(主剤)を調製した。
試料11-2は、試料11-1で用いた液状シリコーン1の代わりに、液状シリコーン2として付加反応型の液状シリコーンである末端に2個以上のH-Si基を有するオルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサン(比重1、商品名:KE-1012-B、信越化学工業株式会社製)100質量部を配合し、白金触媒を配合しなかった以外は、試料11-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物11B(硬化剤)を調製した。
試料12-1は、高比重軟磁性充填材2として、Fe-Si-Cr系の鉄合金であるステンレス鋼(3.5%Si、4.5%Cr、絶縁コーティング処理品。平均粒径:11μm、比重:7.2)1020質量部に代えた以外は、対照試料1-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物12A(主剤)を調製した。
試料12-2は、試料12-1で用いた液状シリコーン1の代わりに、液状シリコーン2として付加反応型の液状シリコーンである末端に2個以上のH-Si基を有するオルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサン(比重1、商品名:KE-1012-B、信越化学工業株式会社製)100質量部を配合し、白金触媒を配合しなかった以外は、試料12-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物12B(硬化剤)を調製した。
試料13-1は、高比重軟磁性充填材2として、Fe-Si-Cr系の鉄合金であるステンレス鋼(3.5%Si、4.5%Cr、絶縁コーティング処理品。平均粒径:11μm、比重:7.2)1020質量部に代えた以外は、試料11-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物13A(主剤)を調製した。
試料13-2は、試料13-1で用いた液状シリコーン1の代わりに、液状シリコーン2として付加反応型の液状シリコーンである末端に2個以上のH-Si基を有するオルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサン(比重1、商品名:KE-1012-B、信越化学工業株式会社製)100質量部を配合し、白金触媒を配合しなかった以外は、試料13-1と同様に混合して、シリコーン組成物13B(硬化剤)を調製した。
粘度計(製品名「BROOKFIELD回転粘度計DV-E」)でスピンドルNo.SC4-14の回転子を用い、回転速度5rpmおよび10rpm、測定温度23℃で粘度(Pa・s)を測定した。その結果を、表1~3に示す。なお、試料10-1、試料11-1、試料12-1、試料13-1では、回転速度10rpmのみで測定して、その結果を表4に示す。
試料1-1~試料13-2としてのシリコーン組成物をそれぞれ直径20mm、高さ120mmの円筒状の容器に100mmの高さまで充填して、60℃の環境下、静止状態で1000時間放置し、充填材の沈降状態を目視で観察した。
5:全く分離していない状態。
4:分離していないが、表面が滑らかに見える状態。(表面の液状シリコーンの濃度が高まり、熱伝導性充填材の粒子感が少なくなった状態。)
3:分離していないが、液状シリコーンの薄膜が表面を覆った状態。(表面に限れば熱伝導性充填材の粒子が無くなった状態。)
2:傾けると液状シリコーンが流れ出る程度に分離している状態。(1mm以上5mm未満の厚みで液状シリコーンが分離した状態。)
1:5mm以上の厚みで液状シリコーンが分離した状態。
試料1-1~試料13-2としてのシリコーン組成物について、JIS K2220:2013に準拠して、100℃168時間放置後の離油度(%)を測定した。
試料1-1~試料13-2としてのシリコーン組成物を、試料の末尾が“-1”のシリコーン組成物をA剤とし、また、試料の末尾が“-2”のシリコーン組成物をB剤として、A剤とB剤とを混合し、25℃で24時間静置して、試料1~試料13の硬化型グリスの混合組成物をそれぞれ調製した。そして、その各組成物を厚さ20mmのシート状に形成して熱伝導率測定用試験片を作製した。各試験片については、京都電子工業株式会社製迅速熱伝導率計QTM-500を用いて非定常法細線加熱法にて熱伝導率(W/m・K)を測定した。その結果も表1~4に示した。
上述した試料1-1~試料9-2の各シリコーン組成物について、試料の末尾が“-1”のシリコーン組成物をA剤とし、また、試料の末尾が“-2”のシリコーン組成物をB剤として、A剤とB剤とを混合し、25℃で24時間静置して、試料1~試料9の硬化型グリスの混合組成物をそれぞれ調製した。そして、各組成物を外径20mm、内径5mm、厚さ8mmのトロイダル形状に形成して透磁率測定用試験片を作製した。これをインピーダンスマテリアルアナライザE4991A(Keysight社製)と磁性材料測定電極16454A(Keysight社製)を用い、周波数1MHz~1GHzにおける比透磁率μ’を測定した。表1~3には10MHzにおける比透磁率を記載する。

- 液状シリコーンと、
比重4.5以上の高比重軟磁性充填材と、
比重4.0以下の中比重熱伝導性充填材と、
非液状の増粘抑制沈降防止剤と、
を含み、前記増粘抑制沈降防止剤は、表面をカルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウムでコーティングした結晶セルロースである、ことを特徴とするシリコーン組成物。 - 前記高比重軟磁性充填材が、フェライト、鉄、鉄含有合金からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である、請求項1記載のシリコーン組成物。
- 前記高比重軟磁性充填材が、高比重軟磁性充填材(但しMg-Zn系フェライト粉末及びFe-Si合金粉末を除く。)である、請求項1記載のシリコーン組成物。
- 液状シリコーンと、
比重4.5以上の高比重軟磁性充填材と、
比重4.0以下の中比重熱伝導性充填材と、
非液状の増粘抑制沈降防止剤と、
を含み、
前記高比重軟磁性充填材が、Fe-Ni(パーマロイ)、Fe-Co、Fe-Cr、Fe-Al、Fe-Cr-Si、Fe-Cr-AlおよびFe-Al-Si合金のいずれかである鉄含有合金、Mn-Zn系、Ni-Zn系、Cu系、Cu-Zn系、Cu-Zn-Mg系、Cu-Ni-Zn系、Li-Fe系のいずれかであるスピネル型フェライト、R 3 Fe 5 O 12 (Rが3価のYまたは希土類元素)で示されるYFe系などのガ-ネット型フェライト、MeをFe、Ni、Co、CuとするとMeO、BaO、Fe 2 O 3 の組成を組み合わせた六方晶構造をもつBaFe系などのフェロクスプレーナ型フェライト、のいずれかであり、
前記増粘抑制沈降防止剤は、表面をカルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウムでコーティングした結晶セルロースである、ことを特徴とするシリコーン組成物。 - 前記増粘抑制沈降防止剤の平均粒径が10~500μmである、請求項1~3又は4の何れか1項記載のシリコーン組成物。
- 前記増粘抑制沈降防止剤が、複数の結晶セルロース粒子の集合体であって、略球状、顆粒状、塊状、凝集状の何れかの形状を有する集合体である、請求項1~5の何れか1項記載のシリコーン組成物。
- 前記高比重軟磁性充填材は、平均粒径が0.1~500μm(但し1~50μmを除く。)である扁平状粒子か、または平均粒径が0.1~300μm(但し1~50μmを除く。)である略球状粒子である、請求項1~6の何れか1項記載のシリコーン組成物。
- 前記高比重軟磁性充填材の配合量は、前記液状シリコーン100質量部に対して200~1500質量部であり、前記中比重熱伝導性充填材の配合量が、前記液状シリコーン100質量部に対して200~1500質量部である、請求項1~7の何れか1項記載のシリコーン組成物。
- 前記増粘抑制沈降防止剤の安息角が34°~57°である、請求項1~8の何れか1項記載のシリコーン組成物。
- 使用時に混合して使用する主剤と硬化剤とを組み合わせた2液硬化型の混合により硬化する2液硬化型の硬化型グリスであって、
前記主剤は、請求項1~9の何れか1項記載のシリコーン組成物であって、液状シリコーンが、ビニル基を末端に有するオルガノポリシロキサンであり、
前記硬化剤は、請求項1~9の何れか1項記載のシリコーン組成物であって、液状シリコーンが、オルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサンである、ことを特徴とする硬化型グリス。
