Description
図1は、実施の形態1に係るハイブリッド車両の一例を示す全体構成図である。図1を参照して、このハイブリッド車両(以下、単に「車両」とも称する)10は、エンジン13と、第1モータジェネレータ(以下「第1MG(Motor Generator)」とも称する)14と、第2モータジェネレータ(以下「第2MG」とも称する)15と、遊星歯車機構20とを備える。
図2は、エンジン13の構成例を示す図である。図2を参照して、エンジン13は、たとえば、ターボチャージャ47を有する直列4気筒型の火花点火型の内燃機関である。図2に示すようにエンジン13は、たとえば、4つの気筒40a,40b,40c,40dが一方向に並べられて形成されるエンジン本体40を含む。
図3は、図1に示すハイブリッド車両10の制御装置(以下「ECU(Electronic Control Unit)」とも称する)11の一例を示す図である。ECU11は、各種センサや各機器との信号の授受をする入出力装置、各種の制御プログラムやマップ等を記憶する記憶装置(ROM(Read Only Memory)、RAM(Random Access Memory)等を含む)11a、制御プログラムを実行する中央処理装置(CPU(Central Processing Unit))11b、および計時するためのカウンタ11c等を含む。なお、記憶装置11aは、ECU11の外部に別途設けることも可能である。
車両10は、エンジン13および第2MG15を動力源としたHV走行モードと、エンジン13を停止状態にするとともに第2MG15を蓄電装置18の電力で駆動して走行するEV走行モードとに設定または切替が可能である。モードの設定や切替は、ECU11により実行される。EV走行モードは、たとえば低車速かつ要求駆動力が小さい低負荷の運転領域の際に選択されるモードであり、エンジン13を停止して第2MG15の出力トルクを走行用駆動源とする。HV走行モードは、高車速かつ要求駆動力が大きい高負荷の運転領域の際に選択されるモードであり、エンジン13の出力トルクと第2MG15の出力トルクとを合算したトルクを走行用駆動源とする。
エンジン13の始動時等に代表されるような、触媒コンバータ56の温度(すなわち三元触媒(以下、単に「触媒」とも称する)の温度)が低い状態(たとえば常温付近)では、早期に触媒を暖機して活性化させることが望ましい。触媒コンバータ56に含まれる触媒は、その温度によって排気の浄化性能が変化する特性を有するためである。
第1処理は、排気流量を絞りつつ、触媒コンバータ56の上流側の領域の触媒を比較的均一に活性化させることを目的とする。
ECU11は、触媒コンバータ56の上流側の領域の触媒を活性化させるために要する第1設定時間(後述)に渡って第1処理を実行した後に、第2処理を実行する。第2処理では、触媒コンバータ56の全体の触媒を活性化させることを目的とする。
第1処理の実行時間である第1設定時間は、たとえば、第1処理の実行によって、第2処理の開始時の排気を適切に浄化できる量の触媒を活性化するのに要する時間に設定される。第2処理の開始後は、第2処理によって触媒コンバータ56に流入する排気によって触媒が適宜活性化されていくので、第2処理の開始時の排気を適切に浄化させることが目的とされる。
第2処理の実行時間である第2設定時間は、第2処理の実行によって、触媒コンバータ56全体を暖機できる時間に設定される。第2設定時間は、たとえば、第2処理における排気流量、排気温度および触媒コンバータ56の仕様(具体的には、触媒コンバータ56に担持される触媒の種類や量等)によって予め定められる。
図8は、ECU11で実行される処理の手順を示すフローチャートである。このフローチャートは、エンジン13が始動される毎にECU11により実行される。図8に示す各ステップ(以下ステップを「S」と略す)は、ECU11によるソフトウェア処理によって実現される場合について説明するが、その一部あるいは全部がECU11内に作製されたハードウェア(電気回路)によって実現されてもよい。
実施の形態においては、第1処理を実行する時間である第1設定時間は、排気から触媒コンバータ56に供給される熱量に基づいて設定された。具体的には、第1処理の実行によって、第2処理の開始時の排気を適切に浄化できる量の触媒を活性化するのに要する時間に設定された。しかしながら、たとえば、触媒コンバータ56の上流側の領域の触媒の温度を検出可能な触媒温度センサを設け、触媒コンバータ56の上流側の領域の触媒の温度が閾温度Tthを超えた場合に、第1処理の実行を終了して、第2処理を実行するようにしてもよい。
Claims (4)
- ターボチャージャを有する内燃機関と、
前記ターボチャージャのタービンよりも下流の排気通路に設けられ、排気を浄化する触媒と、
前記タービンよりも上流の前記排気通路から分岐し、前記タービンをバイパスして前記触媒よりも上流の前記排気通路に合流するバイパス通路と、
前記バイパス通路を流れる排気の流量を調整可能に構成されたウェイストゲートバルブと、
前記内燃機関の始動時に、前記触媒を暖機する暖機制御を実行するように構成された制御装置とを備え、
前記暖機制御は、
前記内燃機関をアイドル状態にしつつ、前記ウェイストゲートバルブを第1開度以上に制御する第1処理と、
前記第1処理の実行後に、前記タービンを回転させることが可能な流量の排気を排出することができる所定の回転速度まで前記内燃機関の回転速度を上昇させるとともに、前記ウェイストゲートバルブを前記第1開度よりも小さい第2開度以下に制御して前記タービンを回転させる第2処理とを含む、ハイブリッド車両。 - 前記ハイブリッド車両は、回転電機と、前記内燃機関と前記回転電機と出力軸とが接続される遊星歯車機構とをさらに含み、
前記第2処理において、前記制御装置は、前記回転電機を制御することにより前記内燃機関の回転速度を上昇させる、請求項1に記載のハイブリッド車両。 - 前記第1処理が所定時間実行された後に前記第2処理が実行され、
前記所定時間は、前記第1処理によって前記触媒に投入される熱量に基づいて設定される、請求項1または請求項2に記載のハイブリッド車両。 - 前記ハイブリッド車両は、前記触媒における上流側の温度を検出するように構成された温度センサをさらに備え、
前記第1処理の実行時において、前記制御装置は、前記温度センサの検出値が閾温度を超えた場合に、前記第2処理を実行する、請求項1または請求項2に記載のハイブリッド車両。
