Claims (5)
- 正極または負極の電極シートが、捲回軸を中心に所定の捲回方向に捲回された扁平の捲回電極体と、
前記捲回電極体を収容する電池ケースと、
前記電池ケースの外部に配置される外部端子部と、前記電池ケースの内部に配置される内部端子部とを有する電極端子と、
を備え、
前記電極シートは、
集電体と、
前記捲回方向に延び、前記集電体の表面に形成され、電極活物質を含む電極活物質層と、
前記捲回方向に延び、前記電極活物質層と捲回軸方向に並んだ位置に配置され、前記集電体の表面に前記電極活物質層が形成されていない未形成部と、
を有し、
前記捲回電極体は、
前記捲回軸方向と直交する長手方向に延びた2つの扁平表面を有する扁平部と、
前記扁平部における前記長手方向の一方側に設けられ、アールが形成された第1端部と、
前記扁平部における前記長手方向の他方側に設けられ、アールが形成された第2端部と、
を有し、
前記第1端部に位置する前記未形成部の部分には、前記捲回方向に沿って第1スリットが形成され、
前記第1端部に位置する前記未形成部の部分のうち、前記第1スリットよりも前記電極活物質層とは反対に位置する部分には、前記電極端子の前記内部端子部が接合される平面部が設けられ、
前記第1スリットの長さは、前記捲回軸に近づくにしたがって短くなる、二次電池。 - 前記第1端部に位置する前記未形成部には、前記第1スリットよりも前記電極活物質層とは反対側に配置され、前記捲回軸方向に沿って延びた第2スリットが形成されている、請求項1に記載された二次電池。
- 前記第2スリットは、前記第1端部に位置する前記未形成部における前記捲回軸から最も離れた位置に形成されている、請求項2に記載された二次電池。
- 前記電極シートを展開したときにおける前記第2スリット同士の間隔は、前記捲回方向における巻き始め側に向かうにしたがって小さくなる、請求項2または3に記載された二次電池。
- 前記電極シートを展開したときにおける前記第1スリット同士の間隔は、前記捲回方向における巻き始め側に向かうにしたがって小さくなる、請求項1から4までの何れか1つに記載された二次電池。
