本発明によれば、機械的物性に優れながらも、難燃性、耐熱性、耐衝撃性、および硬度が向上した新規な構造のポリカーボネートおよびその製造方法を提供することができる。
実施例1
(1)単量体4,4’-(((1,4-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)の製造
前記化合物の1H-NMRは、図1に示した。
窒素パージとコンデンサが備えられ、サーキュレータ(circulator)で常温維持が可能な2L重合反応器に水1784g、NaOH 385g、BPA(bisphenol A) 233gを入れ、窒素雰囲気下に混合して溶解した。ここにPTBP(para-tert butylphenol) 4.3gと前記(1)段階で製造した4,4’-(((1,4-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)化合物26.3gをMC(methylene chloride)で別に溶解して重合反応器に入れた。その次、TPG(triphosgene) 130gをMCに溶かして20% NaOH水溶液でpHを11以上に維持させて1時間ゆっくり投入して反応させた後、10分後にTEA(triethylamine) 46gを入れてカップリング(coupling)反応をさせた。総反応時間1時間20分が経過した後、35% HCl溶液でpHを4以下に下げてTEAを除去し、蒸溜水で3回洗浄して生成された重合体のpHを6~7中性に合わせた。このように得た重合体をメタノールとヘキサン混合溶液で再沈殿させて収得した後、これを120℃で乾燥して最終コポリカーボネートを得た(化学式1:化学式2のモル比=約10:90)。
(1)単量体4,4’-((([1,1’-biphenyl]-4,4’-diylbis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)の製造
前記化合物の1H-NMRは、図3に示した。
実施例1の(2)コポリカーボネートの製造で、4,4’-(((1,4-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)化合物26.3gの代わりに4,4’-((([1,1’-biphenyl]-4,4’-diylbis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol) 26.3gを使用したことを除いては前記実施例1と同様の方法でコポリカーボネート樹脂を製造した(化学式1:化学式2のモル比=約10:90)。
(1)単量体4,4’-(((naphthalene-2,6-diylbis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)の製造
前記化合物の1H-NMRは、図5に示した。
実施例1の(2)コポリカーボネートの製造で、4,4’-(((1,4-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)化合物26.3gの代わりに4,4’-(((naphthalene-2,6-diylbis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol) 26.3gを使用したことを除いては前記実施例1と同様の方法でコポリカーボネート樹脂を製造した(化学式1:化学式2のモル比=約10:90)。
(1)単量体4,4’-((((hexahydrofuro[3,2-b]furan-3,6-diyl)bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)の製造
前記化合物の1H-NMRは、図7に示した。
実施例1の(2)コポリカーボネートの製造で、4,4’-(((1,4-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)化合物26.3gの代わりに4,4’-((((hexahydrofuro[3,2-b]furan-3,6-diyl)bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol) 26.3gを使用したことを除いては前記実施例1と同様の方法でコポリカーボネート樹脂を製造した(化学式1:化学式2のモル比=約10:90)。
商用化されたポリカーボネートとして製品名LUPOY PC P1300-10(LG社) 90wt%と下記化学式5の一般PPO(polyphenylene oxide,Mw=2,000g/mol) 10wt%をHAAKE Mini CTW押出機を用いて混合してペレット化した。
実施例1の(2)コポリカーボネートの製造で、4,4’-(((1,4-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)化合物26.3gの代わりに下記化学式5の一般PPO(polyphenylene oxide) 26.3gを使用したことを除いては前記実施例1と同様の方法でコポリカーボネート樹脂を製造した。
(1)単量体4,4’-((((propane-2,2-diylbis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)の製造
(2)コポリカーボネートの製造
実施例1の(2)コポリカーボネートの製造で、4,4’-(((1,4-phenylenebis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol)化合物26.3gの代わりに4,4’-((((propane-2,2-diylbis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethyl-4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(2,6-dimethylphenol) 26.3gを使用したことを除いては前記実施例1と同様の方法でコポリカーボネート樹脂を製造した。
前記実施例および比較例で製造したそれぞれのポリカーボネート樹脂100重量部に対して、トリス(2,4-ジ-tert-ブチルフェニル)ホスファート0.050重量部、オクタデシル-3-(3,5-ジ-tert-ブチル-4-ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート0.010重量部、ペンタエリスリトールテトラステアレート0.030重量部を添加し、ベント付きHAAKE Mini CTWを用いてペレット化した後、HAAKE Minijet射出成形機を用いてシリンダ温度300℃、金型温度120℃で射出成形して試験片を製造した。
Claims (17)
- 下記化学式1で表されるジオール化合物、下記化学式2で表される化合物、およびカーボネート前駆体由来の繰り返し単位を含む、ポリカーボネート。
前記化学式1において、
Rは、ベンゼン、ビフェニル、テルフェニル、又はナフタレンの2価基であるか、又は非置換の、若しくはC1-10アルキルで置換されたC3-20シクロアルキレン、又は非置換の、若しくはC1-10アルキルで置換されたC3-20ヘテロシクロアルキレンであり、
nおよびmは、それぞれ独立して1~1,000の整数であり、
前記化学式2において、
R1~R4は、それぞれ独立して水素、C1-10アルキル、C1-10アルコキシ、又はハロゲンであり、
Zは、非置換の、若しくはフェニルで置換されたC1-10アルキレン、非置換の、若しくはC1-10アルキルで置換されたC3-15シクロアルキレン、O、S、SO、SO2、又はCOである。 - R1~R4は、それぞれ独立して水素、又はC1-4アルキルである、請求項2または3に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記化学式1で表される化合物由来繰り返し単位と、化学式2で表される化合物由来繰り返し単位のモル比は、99:1~1:99である、請求項2~4のいずれか一項に記載のポリカーボネート。
- PSスタンダード(Standard)を用いてGPCで測定した前記ポリカーボネートの重量平均分子量(Mw)は、15,000~50,000g/molである、請求項2~5のいずれか一項に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記ポリカーボネートのASTM D256(1/8inch,Notched Izod)に基づいて23℃で測定したIzod常温衝撃強度は100~1,000J/mである、請求項2~8のいずれか一項に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記ポリカーボネートのガラス転移温度(Tg)は、153~190℃である、請求項2~9のいずれか一項に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 前記ポリカーボネートの鉛筆硬度は、ASTM D3363に基づいて50gの荷重で45度角度で測定したときB、又はHBである、請求項2~10のいずれか一項に記載のポリカーボネート。
- 下記化学式1で表される化合物、下記化学式2で表される芳香族ジオール化合物、およびカーボネート前駆体を含む組成物を重合する段階を含む、ポリカーボネートの製造方法。
前記化学式1において、
Rは、ベンゼン、ビフェニル、テルフェニル、又はナフタレンの2価基であるか、又は非置換の、若しくはC1-10アルキルで置換されたC3-20シクロアルキレン、又は非置換の、若しくはC1-10アルキルで置換されたC3-20ヘテロシクロアルキレンであり、
nおよびmは、それぞれ独立して1~1,000の整数であり、
前記化学式2において、
R1~R4は、それぞれ独立して水素、C1-10アルキル、C1-10アルコキシ、又はハロゲンであり、
Zは、非置換の、若しくはフェニルで置換されたC1-10アルキレン、非置換の、若しくはC1-10アルキルで置換されたC3-15シクロアルキレン、O、S、SO、SO2、又はCOである。 - 前記化学式2で表される芳香族ジオール化合物は、
ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)メタン、
ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)エーテル、
ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)スルホン、
ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)スルホキシド、
ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)スルフィド、
ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)ケトン、
1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)エタン、
2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)プロパン(ビスフェノールA)、
2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)ブタン、
1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)シクロヘキサン(ビスフェノールZ)、
2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシ-3,5-ジブロモフェニル)プロパン、
2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシ-3,5-ジクロロフェニル)プロパン、
2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシ-3-ブロモフェニル)プロパン、
2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシ-3-クロロフェニル)プロパン、
2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシ-3-メチルフェニル)プロパン、
2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシ-3,5-ジメチルフェニル)プロパンおよび
1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)-1-フェニルエタンからなる群より選択された1つ以上の化合物である、請求項12または13に記載のポリカーボネートの製造方法: - 前記重合は、溶融重合方法によって行われる、請求項12~14のいずれか一項に記載のポリカーボネートの製造方法。
- 前記溶融重合時カーボネート前駆体として炭酸ジエステル化合物を使用する、請求項15に記載のポリカーボネートの製造方法。
- 請求項2ないし11のいずれか一項に記載のポリカーボネートを用いて製造される、成形品。
