- プライマリプーリと、
セカンダリプーリと、
前記プライマリプーリと前記セカンダリプーリとに巻き掛けられたベルトと、
前記プライマリプーリおよび前記セカンダリプーリを収容するケースと、
を備え、
前記ベルトのうち前記セカンダリプーリに巻き掛けられた部分では、前記ベルトの径方向外側端部が前記セカンダリプーリの外周部よりも径方向外側に位置し得るベルト式無段変速機であって、
前記セカンダリプーリの回転中心から前記ケースの内面までの径方向距離は、前記プライマリプーリの回転中心から前記セカンダリプーリの回転中心を通過して延びる直線に沿った第1方向における距離が、当該第1方向と直交する第2方向における距離よりも短くなるように形成され、
前記内面は、前記セカンダリプーリの外周部を覆う部分において、前記セカンダリプーリの回転中心軸線と直交する平面上で、前記プライマリプーリの回転中心と前記セカンダリプーリの回転中心とを通る直線に対して線対称の形状に形成されている
ことを特徴とするベルト式無段変速機。 - 前記内面は、前記セカンダリプーリの外周部を覆う部分において、前記セカンダリプーリの回転中心軸線と直交する平面上で、楕円形状に形成されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のベルト式無段変速機。 - 前記内面は、前記セカンダリプーリの外周部を覆う部分において、前記セカンダリプーリの回転時に前記セカンダリプーリの外周部よりも径方向外側で前記ベルトの径方向外側端部によって描かれる軌跡に沿った形状に形成されている
