Description
緑色の有機発光ダイオードOLED2のキャパシタンスCo2には、他の色の有機発光ダイオードOLED1のキャパシタンスCoよりも、高い電圧値にプレチャージされるようにする。
他の色の有機発光ダイオードOLED1を含む画素回路路PXijには、
トランジスタM4を通じて、前段の走査線からのゲートパルスに応じてストレージキャパシタCSt1を初期化するための第1初期化電圧源VINT1(例えば-2V)と、
トランジスタM7を通じて、現在段の走査線からのゲートパルスに応じて、有機発光ダイオードのキャパシタンスCo1にプレチャージを行うための第2初期化電圧源VINT2(例えば-5V)とが、備えられる。
緑色の有機発光ダイオードOLED1を含む画素回路路PXi(j+1)には、第1初期化電圧源VINT1(例えば-2V)のみが、初期化電圧源(単一の初期化電圧源)として備えられ、この第1初期化電圧源VINT1(例えば-2V)からの、より高い電圧により、データ書き込み期間(図6のt3~t4)にて、キャパシタンスCo2にプレチャージを行う。
緑色の有機発光ダイオードOLED1を含む画素回路路PXi(j+1)には、第2初期化電圧源VINT2(例えば-5V)のみが、初期化電圧源(単一の初期化電圧源)として備えられる。
緑色の有機発光ダイオードOLED1を含む画素回路路PXi(j+1)には、第3初期化電圧源VINT3(例えば-4V)のみが、初期化電圧源(単一の初期化電圧源)として備えられる。第3初期化電圧は、第1初期化電圧と、第2初期化電圧との間の値である。

第2初期化期間にて、前記第1初期化電圧より小さい第2初期化電圧を、前記第1画素回路の第1有機発光ダイオードのアノードに印加し、前記単一初期化電圧を、前記第2画素回路の前記第1有機発光ダイオードとはバンドギャップが異なる有機物を含む、第2有機発光ダイオードのアノードに印加する段階と、
発光期間にて、前記第1有機発光ダイオード及び前記第2有機発光ダイオードを発光させる段階と、を含むことを特徴とする表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記単一初期化電圧は、前記第1初期化電圧と等しいことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記単一の初期化電圧は、前記第2初期化電圧と等しいことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記単一の初期化電圧は、前記第1初期化電圧及び前記第2初期化電圧とは異なる値を有することを特徴とする請求項20に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記単一の初期化電圧は、前記第1初期化電圧と前記第2初期化電圧との間の値を有することを特徴とする請求項23に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
