Description
以下に図面を参照して、第一の実施形態について説明する。図1は、第一の実施形態の液体吐出装置の概略構成を例示する側面図である。図2は、第一の実施形態の液体吐出装置のキャリッジ近傍を例示する部分平面図である。
凸部として残したい部分も凹んでしまい、細かい凹凸を表現する場合には適していない。
以下に図面を参照して第二の実施形態について説明する。第二の実施形態では、評価用メディアにおける出力条件毎の凹凸の状態を評価し、評価した結果を示す情報を液体吐出装置1に保持させる点が第一の実施形態と相違する。よって、以下の第二の実施形態のせつ説明では、第一の実施形態と同様の機能構成を有するものには、第一の実施形態の説明で用いた符号と同様の符号を付与し、その説明を省略する。

Claims (5)
- 発泡可能なメディアに対して前記メディアの発泡を抑制する機能を有する液体を吐出することで凹凸を形成する液体吐出装置であって、
前記液体により前記メディアに所定のパターン画像を形成する際の画像形成に関する複数の条件のそれぞれが規定する内容を示す条件情報を保持する条件保持部と、
前記複数の条件のそれぞれについて、条件毎に、前記条件に基づき形成された前記所定のパターン画像と対応した凹凸が形成された評価用メディアを生成して出力させる液体吐出制御部と、を有し、
前記画像形成に関する条件は、
前記メディアに対する前記液体の付着量を示す情報と、前記液体により前記メディアに形成される前記パターン画像の輪郭の形状に関する情報と、を含む情報によって規定される条件である、液体吐出装置。 - 前記パターン画像は、複数種類のパターン画像を含み、
前記評価用メディアには、
前記条件毎に、前記複数種類のパターン画像と対応した凹凸が形成される、請求項1記載の液体吐出装置。 - 前記条件毎に、前記評価用メディアに形成された凹凸の状態を評価した結果を示す評価結果情報を保持する結果保持部と、
前記評価結果情報が示す結果に応じて、前記条件を選択する条件選択部と、を有し、
前記液体吐出制御部は、
前記条件選択部によって選択された条件に基づき、前記液体を吐出させる、請求項2記載の液体吐出装置。 - 前記結果保持部は、前記メディアの種類毎に前記評価結果情報を保持し、
前記条件選択部は、
前記メディアの種類の指定を受けて、指定された種類と対応する評価結果情報を参照し、前記条件を選択する、請求項3記載の液体吐出装置。 - 前記画像形成に関する条件は、
前記メディアの加熱温度を示す情報と、前記メディアの加熱時間を示す情報と、によって規定される条件を含む、請求項4記載の液体吐出装置。
