前記複数のSOCの使用範囲のうちの1つを選択し、前記選択したSOCの使用範囲に応じて、前記ニッケル水素電池の充放電の制御を行う制御回路と、
を備え、
前記制御回路は、
温度センサが検出した前記ニッケル水素電池の温度に関する情報を受け取り、
前記ニッケル水素電池の温度に応じて、前記複数のSOCの使用範囲の中から選択するSOCの使用範囲を変更し、
前記複数のSOCの使用範囲は、第1の使用範囲および第2の使用範囲を含み、
前記第1の使用範囲のSOCの上限は、前記第2の使用範囲のSOCの上限よりも大きく、
前記第2の使用範囲のSOCの下限は、前記第1の使用範囲のSOCの下限よりも小さく、
前記制御回路は、
前記SOCの使用範囲を前記第1の使用範囲から前記第2の使用範囲に変更する場合、前記第2の使用範囲のSOCの下限まで前記ニッケル水素電池を放電させる制御を行い、
前記SOCの使用範囲を前記第2の使用範囲から前記第1の使用範囲に変更する場合、前記第1の使用範囲のSOCの上限まで前記ニッケル水素電池を充電する制御を行う、電池制御システム。 - 電圧とSOC(State Of Charge)との関係においてヒステリシス特性を有するニッケル水素電池の充放電を制御する電池制御システムであって、

前記ニッケル水素電池の温度が第1の温度である場合は、前記第1の使用範囲に応じた充放電の制御を行い、
前記ニッケル水素電池の温度が前記第1の温度よりも高い第2の温度である場合は、前記第2の使用範囲に応じた充放電の制御を行う、請求項1に記載の電池制御システム。 - 前記制御回路は、
前記ニッケル水素電池の温度が第1の温度である場合は、前記第1の使用範囲に応じた充放電の制御を行い、
前記ニッケル水素電池の温度が前記第1の温度よりも高い第2の温度である場合は、前記第2の使用範囲に応じた充放電の制御を行い、
前記ニッケル水素電池の温度が前記第1の温度よりも高く且つ前記第2の温度よりも低い第3の温度である場合は、前記第3の使用範囲に応じた充放電の制御を行う、請求項2に記載の電池制御システム。 - 前記ニッケル水素電池の初回の使用時において、前記制御回路は、前記第1の使用範囲のSOCの上限まで前記ニッケル水素電池を充電した後に、前記ニッケル水素電池の放電を開始する制御を行う、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の電池制御システム。
- 前記ニッケル水素電池の初回の使用時において、前記制御回路は、前記ニッケル水素電池の温度に関わらず、前記第1の使用範囲のSOCの上限まで前記ニッケル水素電池を充電した後に、前記ニッケル水素電池の放電を開始する制御を行う、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の電池制御システム。
- 前記ニッケル水素電池の初回の使用は、前記ニッケル水素電池の工場出荷後における最初の使用である、請求項5または6に記載の電池制御システム。
- 前記ニッケル水素電池の初回の使用は、前記ニッケル水素電池を補充電した後における最初の使用である、請求項5または6に記載の電池制御システム。
- 請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の電池制御システムを備えた鞍乗型車両。
