Description
バックライトユニットとを含むディスプレイ装置において、
前記バックライトユニットは、1つ以上の色変換フィルムを含み、
前記液晶パネルまたはバックライトユニットは、光吸収層を含み、
前記1つ以上の色変換フィルムは、光照射時、500nm〜560nmの波長範囲のうち最大高さを有する発光ピークが520nm〜535nm内にあり、発光ピークの半値幅が50nm以下である第1発光ピークと、600nm〜780nmの波長範囲のうち最大高さを有する発光ピークが625nm〜640nm内にあり、発光ピークの半値幅が60nm以下である第2発光ピークとを含むものであるディスプレイ装置を提供する。

固形分30%の樹脂溶液(PMMA(BR80):epoxy functional acrylic(GMA acrylic)resin(PD6400)=8:2、Toluene:MEK(5:5))に、光吸収物質(Mitsubishi chemical社、PD319)を樹脂100重量部対比0.8重量部添加して均一に混合後、TACフィルム上にバーコーティングにより5μmの厚さの第1光吸収層を製造した。UV−Visible spectrometerにより、第1光吸収層は最大吸収波長593nmにおける透過率が11.5%であることを確認した。
光吸収物質を0.3重量部添加したことを除けば、第1光吸収層と同様に第2光吸収層を製造した。UV−Visible spectrometerにより、第2光吸収層は最大吸収波長593nmにおける透過率が30%であることを確認した。
ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)にポリスチレン(PS)、下記の構造の緑色蛍光体、およびTiO2を添加して第1溶液を製造した。この時、緑色蛍光体はPS100重量部対比0.35重量部、TiO2はPS100重量部対比3重量部添加した。
ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)にポリメチルメタクリレート(PMMA)、下記の構造の緑色蛍光体、およびTiO2を添加して第3溶液を製造した。この時、緑色蛍光体はPMMA100重量部対比0.25重量部、TiO2はPMMA100重量部対比3重量部添加した。
DMFにPS、下記の構造の緑色蛍光体、下記の構造の赤色蛍光体、およびTiO2を混合して第5溶液を製造した。この時、緑色蛍光体はPS100重量部対比0.3重量部、赤色蛍光体はPS100重量部対比0.05重量部、TiO2はPS100重量部対比10重量部添加した。
DMFにPMMA、下記の構造の緑色蛍光体、およびTiO2を添加して第6溶液を製造した。この時、緑色蛍光体はPMMA100重量部対比0.25重量部、TiO2はPMMA100重量部対比3重量部添加した。
DMFにPS、下記の構造の緑色蛍光体、およびTiO2を添加して第8溶液を製造した。この時、緑色蛍光体はPS100重量部対比0.3重量部、TiO2はPS100重量部対比3重量部添加した。
光吸収層を適用しないことを除けば、実施例2と同様の方法でディスプレイ装置を作製し、輝度および色再現率を測定した。
DMFにPS、下記の構造の緑色蛍光体、およびTiO2を添加して第9溶液を製造した。この時、緑色蛍光体はPS100重量部対比0.2重量部、TiO2はPS100重量部対比3重量部添加した。
ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)にSAN、下記の構造の緑色蛍光体、およびTiO2を添加して第10溶液を製造した。この時、緑色蛍光体はSAN100重量部対比0.3重量部、TiO2はSAN100重量部対比3重量部添加した。
第1色変換フィルムの代わりに第5緑色フィルムと第4赤色フィルムとを積層したものを用いたことを除けば、実施例1と同様の方法でディスプレイ装置を作製し、輝度および色再現率を測定した。
青色LEDおよび色変換フィルムの代わりに白色LED(Blue LED+YAG蛍光体)を用い、第1光吸収層を適用したディスプレイ装置を製造した。具体的には、白色LEDと導光板とを含むバックライトユニットの導光板上に、プリズムシートとDBEFフィルム、第1光吸収層および液晶パネルを順次に積層した後、輝度スペクトルを測定した。

- 液晶パネルと、
バックライトユニットとを含むディスプレイ装置において、
前記バックライトユニットは、1つ以上の色変換フィルムを含み、
前記液晶パネルまたはバックライトユニットは、光吸収層を含み、
前記色変換フィルムは、光照射時、500nm〜560nmの波長範囲のうち最大高さを有する発光ピークが520nm〜535nm内にあり、発光ピークの半値幅が50nm以下である緑色蛍光体と、600nm〜780nmの波長範囲のうち最大高さを有する発光ピークが625nm〜640nm内にあり、発光ピークの半値幅が60nm以下である赤色蛍光体とを含み、
前記緑色蛍光体および前記赤色蛍光体はボディピー系蛍光体であり、
前記光吸収層は、樹脂マトリックスと、前記樹脂マトリックスに分散した染料または顔料とを含み、
前記染料または顔料は、樹脂マトリックスの固形分対比0.1重量部〜3重量部含まれるものであり、
前記緑色蛍光体は、下記化学式1で表される化合物であり、

R7は、水素;アルコキシ基;置換もしくは非置換のアルキル基;置換もしくは非置換のアリールオキシ基;ハロアルキル基;または置換もしくは非置換のアリール基であり、
前記赤色蛍光体は、下記化学式2で表される化合物であり、

R12およびR15は、互いに同一または異なり、それぞれ独立に、水素;重水素;ハロゲン基;ニトリル基;ニトロ基;ヒドロキシ基;カルボキシ基(−COOH);エーテル基;エステル基;イミド基;アミド基;置換もしくは非置換のアルキル基;置換もしくは非置換のシクロアルキル基;置換もしくは非置換のアルコキシ基;置換もしくは非置換のアリールオキシ基;置換もしくは非置換のアルキルチオキシ基;置換もしくは非置換のアリールチオキシ基;置換もしくは非置換のアルキルスルホキシ基;置換もしくは非置換のアリールスルホキシ基;置換もしくは非置換のアルケニル基;置換もしくは非置換のシリル基;置換もしくは非置換のホウ素基;置換もしくは非置換のアミン基;置換もしくは非置換のアリールホスフィン基;置換もしくは非置換のホスフィンオキシド基;置換もしくは非置換のクマリン基;置換もしくは非置換のアリール基;置換もしくは非置換のアントラセニル基;置換もしくは非置換のフェナントレニル基;置換もしくは非置換のフェナレニル基;または置換もしくは非置換のヘテロ環基であり、
R17は、置換もしくは非置換のヘテロ環基;またはクマリン基である、ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記色変換フィルムは、前記緑色蛍光体および前記赤色蛍光体を単一フィルムに含むものである、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記色変換フィルムは、前記緑色蛍光体を含む第1色変換フィルムと、前記赤色蛍光体を含む第2色変換フィルムとを含むものである、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記赤色蛍光体は、600nm〜780nmの波長範囲のうち最大高さを有する発光ピークが630nm〜640nm内にあるものである、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記光吸収層は、560nm〜610nmで最大吸収波長を有するものである、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記光吸収層の厚さは、1μm〜30μmである、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記バックライトユニットは、導光板;反射板;集光フィルム;および輝度向上フィルムのうちの少なくとも1つをさらに含むものである、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記バックライトユニットは、最大発光波長が440nm〜460nmの光を発光する発光ランプを含む光源を含むものである、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ディスプレイ装置は、最大発光波長が440nm〜460nmの光を照射した時、BT2020重畳比が87%以上である、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイ装置。
