Description
(成長するムライトにおける化学的取り込みにより)、残存ガラス質の物理的隔離、および、空隙部の形成を促進するために十分な温度および/または時間加熱することにより、回避、もしくは、打ち消すことが可能である。また、0−3複合体として知られるこの種の微小構造は、ガラス質相は相互に接触しているのではなく個別の領域において離間しており、ムライトは三次元の連続するネットワークとして保持される。この微小構造は、ガラス質が、熱衝撃を含む如何なる熱機械特性にも事実上影響を及ぼさないという利点を有する。
熱処理の最中のフライアッシュ中のムライト繊維の成長は、既に存在するムライト細粒がほぼ全体に存在していることにより増進される。ムライト繊維の成長をさらに増進するために、ムライトを含有する、および/または、加熱中にムライトを形成するex-situ材料を出発組成物に添加してもよい。例えば、ムライト含有素材および/またはムライト形成性素材を加熱に先立ってフライアッシュと混合することが可能である。

Claims (12)
- 素材本体におけるパーコレーションムライトの製造方法であって、前記素材本体を1500℃〜1600℃の温度で少なくとも8時間加熱するステップを含み、前記素材本体はアルミナおよびシリカを含む組成物を有し、非アルミナ不純物および非シリカ不純物を排除するために正規化した場合のアルミナ:シリカの重量比は約10:90〜約55:45であり、
ムライトは、0−3複合体の一部であり、3次元ネットワークを形成するとともに、残存ガラス質が相互に接触することなく個別の領域内に離間している、
ことを特徴とするパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - アルミナ:シリカの前記重量比は約10:90〜約35:65である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - アルミナ:シリカの前記重量比は約10:90〜約30:70である、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - 前記本体は既に存在するムライトを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - 前記組成物は少なくとも1種のフラックスを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - 前記少なくとも1種のフラックスは、アルカリの酸化物および/または塩、アルカリ土類、遷移金属もしくはランタニド、または、半金属、メタロイド、または、ハロゲンである、
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - 前記本体の組成物は、加熱によりムライトを形成可能である天然原料および/または合成原料を含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - 前記本体は、主にフライアッシュから構成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - 前記本体の組成物は、フライアッシュ、ボトムアッシュ、自治体で排出されるアッシュ、ムライト、藍晶石、ケイ線石、紅柱石、トパーズ、葉ろう石、クレイ、千枚岩−片岩、サプロライトクレイ、藍晶石−十字石、斜長岩、閃長岩、エメリー岩または他のアルミノケイ酸、ボーキサイト、アルミナ、アルミニウム水和物、および赤泥からなる群から選択される1種または複数種の素材を含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパーコレーションムライトの製造方法。 - 連続的あるいは事実上連続的に相互に結合された骨格または直接結合ムライト細粒のネットワークから形成されたパーコレーションムライト微小構造を有する素材本体であって、
前記直接結合ムライト細粒は、前記細粒間からガラス質を排除するように形成され、
前記パーコレーションムライト微小構造は、連続的および実質的に前記本体全体にわたって延在し、
前記微小構造が0−3複合体であり、ムライトは3次元ネットワークを形成するとともに、残存ガラス質が相互に接触することなく個別の領域内に離間している、
ことを特徴とする素材本体。 - 前記微小構造は、ムライト総量とガラス質含有量とを比したムライト体積含有量が、90%以上である、
ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の素材本体。 - 前記微小構造は、ムライト総量とガラス質含有量とを比したムライト体積含有量が、95%以上である、
ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の素材本体。
