Claims (11)
- 車両バンパーアセンブリであって、
車体構造物に直接取り付けられるように構成された非発泡ポリプロピレンから作られた第1エネルギー吸収部材と、
上面を有する発泡ポリプロピレンから作られた第2エネルギー吸収部材と、
所定車体スタイルのための形状及び輪郭とされた車両ファシア部材であって、前記車体構造物に取り付けられて前記第1エネルギー吸収部材及び前記第2エネルギー吸収部材を覆って少なくとも部分的に隠すように構成された車両ファシア部材と
を含み、
前記第1エネルギー吸収部材は、上向き面と、外向き面と、前記車体構造物の前方にそれぞれが空洞を画定する複数の部分を有する下向き面とを有し、
前記上面は、前記第1エネルギー吸収部材の前記下向き面の、前記空洞の下において前記車体構造物から離間された一部分に直接取り付けられ、
前記第2エネルギー吸収部材は全体が、前記第1エネルギー吸収部材が画定する前記空洞の下方に配置される、車両バンパーアセンブリ。 - 前記第2エネルギー吸収部材はさらに、機械的締結構造によって前記第1エネルギー吸収部材に取り付けられる、請求項1に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。
- 前記機械的締結構造は、
少なくとも一つのスロットを有する前記第1エネルギー吸収部材と、
前記少なくとも一つのスロットの中に延びる少なくとも一つのクリップを有する前記第2エネルギー吸収部材と
を含む、請求項2に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。 - 前記第2エネルギー吸収部材は、前記第1エネルギー吸収部材と前記車両ファシア部材との間に位置決めされる、請求項1に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。
- 前記第2エネルギー吸収部材は、前記第2エネルギー吸収部材の内向き面が前記第1エネルギー吸収部材に接触して前記第2エネルギー吸収部材の外向き面が前記車両ファシア部材に接触するような寸法にされる、請求項4に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。
- 突出するセグメントを含むエアガイド部材をさらに含み、
前記第2エネルギー吸収部材は、少なくとも一つの側方に延びる突起を含み、
前記エアガイド部材の前記突出するセグメントが、前記少なくとも一つの側方に延びる突起に載置される、請求項1に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。 - 前記第2エネルギー吸収部材は、接着材料によって前記第1エネルギー吸収部材に取り付けられる、請求項1に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。
- 前記接着材料は、各対向側面に接着剤を有する両面テープを含む、請求項7に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。
- 前記第1エネルギー吸収部材の前記外向き面は、
前記車両ファシア部材に面する、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。 - 前記第1エネルギー吸収部材は第1圧縮特性を示し、
前記第2エネルギー吸収部材は第2圧縮特性を示し、
前記第1圧縮特性は前記第2圧縮特性よりも大きな剛性を示す、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。 - 前記第1エネルギー吸収部材は、圧縮降伏強さ試験において近似的に40MPaの圧縮降伏強さを示し、
前記第2エネルギー吸収部材は、前記発泡ポリプロピレンの密度範囲に応じて、圧縮降伏強さ試験において0.10MPaから2.08MPaの圧縮降伏強さを示し、
前記密度範囲は20g/l(グラム毎リットル)から90g/lである、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の車両バンパーアセンブリ。
