本明細書に記載されるパーソナルケア組成物は、最終製品の所望の特質に応じて当業者が選択することができ、かつ組成物をより化粧用若しくは美容用として許容可能にするために、又は組成物に追加の使用効果をもたらすために好適な、他の追加の構成成分を含み得る。このような他の追加の構成成分は、概して、本組成物の約0.001重量%〜約10重量%、あるいは最大5重量%のレベルで個別に使用される。
本明細書に記載されるパーソナルケア組成物は、第四級基を含有するシリコーンポリマーに加えて、シリコーン化合物を更に含み得る。シリコーン化合物は、本組成物の約0.
1重量%〜約10重量%、あるいは約0.25重量%〜約8重量%、更にあるいは約0.5重量%〜約3重量%の量で含まれ得る。

本明細書に記載されるパーソナルケア組成物は、レオロジー調節の観点からポリソルベートを含有してよい。本明細書で有用な好ましいポリソルベートとして、例えば、ポリソルベート−20、ポリソルベート−21、ポリソルベート−40、ポリソルベート−60、及びこれらの混合物が挙げられる。ポリソルベート−20が極めて好ましい。
本明細書で有用なポリプロピレングリコールは、約200g/モル〜約100,000g/モル、あるいは約1,000g/モル〜約60,000g/モルの重量平均分子量を有するものである。理論によって制限されることを意図するものではないが、本明細書におけるポリプロピレングリコールは、毛髪上に付着するか、若しくは毛髪内に吸収されて保湿緩衝剤として作用し、かつ/又は1つ又は2つ以上の他の望ましいヘアコンディショニング効果をもたらすと考えられる。
本明細書で有用な低融点油は、約25℃未満の融点を有するものである。本明細書で有用な低融点油は、約10〜約40個の炭素原子を有する炭化水素;オレイルアルコール等の約10〜約30個の炭素原子を有する不飽和脂肪族アルコール;約10〜約30個の炭素原子を有する不飽和脂肪酸;脂肪酸誘導体;脂肪族アルコール誘導体;ペンタエリスリトールエステル油、トリメチロールエステル油、クエン酸エステル油、及びグリセリルエステル油等のエステル油;ポリα−オレフィン油;並びにこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される。本明細書において好ましい低融点油は、ペンタエリスリトールエステル油、トリメチロールエステル油、クエン酸エステル油、及びグリセリルエステル油等のエステル油;ポリα−オレフィン油;並びにこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される。
本明細書で有用なカチオン性ポリマーは、少なくとも約5,000、典型的には約10,000〜約10百万、あるいは約100,000〜約2百万の重量平均分子量を有するものである。
ポリエチレングリコールも追加の構成成分として使用できる。特に好ましい本明細書で有用なポリエチレングリコールは、nが約2,000の平均値を有するPEG−2M(PEG−2Mは、Union CarbideのPolyox WSR(登録商標)N−10として、及びPEG−2,000としても知られる);nが約5,000の平均値を有するPEG−5M(PEG−5Mは、両方ともUnion CarbideのPolyox WSR(登録商標)N−35及びPolyox WSR(登録商標)N−80、並びにPEG−5,000及びポリエチレングリコール300,000としても知られる);nが約7,000の平均値を有するPEG−7M(PEG−7Mは、Union CarbideのPolyox WSR(登録商標)N−750としても知られる);nが約9,000の平均値を有するPEG−9M(PEG−9Mは、Union CarbideのPolyox WSR(登録商標)N−3333としても知られる);並びに、nが約14,000の平均値を有するPEG−14M(PEG−14Mは、Union CarbideのPolyox WSR(登録商標)N−3000としても知られる)である。本明細書で用いるとき、「n」は、ポリマー中のエチレンオキシド単位の数を指す。
本明細書に記載されるヘアコンディショニング組成物は、従来の方法で使用されて、コンディショニング効果及びその他の効果をもたらす。このような使用方法は、使用する組成物の種類に依存するが、一般に、有効量の製品を毛髪又は頭皮に塗布することを伴い、その後、該製品は、毛髪若しくは頭皮からすすぎ落とされてもよく(ヘアリンスの場合)、又は毛髪若しくは頭皮に残したままにされてもよい(ジェル、ローション、クリーム、及びスプレーの場合)。「有効量」は、乾燥コンディショニング効果をもたらすのに十分な量を意味する。一般に、約1g〜約50gが毛髪又は頭皮に塗布される。
本明細書に記載されるヘアコンディショニング組成物は、リンスオフ製品又はリーブオン製品の形態であり得、不透明であり得、クリーム、ゲル、エマルション、ムース、及びスプレーを含むがこれらに限定されない広範な製品形態で配合され得る。

Claims (9)
- ヘアコンディショニング組成物が、
a)シリコーンポリマーであって、
i.1つ以上の第四級基、
ii.200超〜500個のシロキサン単位を含む少なくとも1つのシリコーンブロック、
iii.少なくとも1つのポリアルキレンオキシド構造ユニット、及び
iv.少なくとも1つの末端エステル基、を含み、
前記シリコーンポリマーが、500mPa.s〜10,000mPa.sの粘度を有し、
前記シリコーンポリマーが、1マイクロメートル未満の粒径を有する予備乳化された分散液であり、かつ、以下の式(Ia)又は(Ib)によって規定される化学構造:

を含み、該組成物がシリコーンコポリオールを含まない、ヘアコンディショニング組成物。 - 前記シリコーンブロックが、300〜500個のシロキサン単位を含む、請求項1に記載のヘアコンディショニング組成物。
- 前記シリコーンポリマーが、前記組成物の0.05重量%〜15重量%の量で存在する、請求項1又は2に記載のヘアコンディショニング組成物。
- 前記シリコーンポリマーが、前記組成物の0.1重量%〜10重量%の量で存在する、請求項1又は2に記載のヘアコンディショニング組成物。
- 前記シリコーンポリマーが、前記組成物の0.15重量%〜5重量%の量で存在する、請求項1又は2に記載のヘアコンディショニング組成物。
- 前記−K−S−K−部分中のK残基が同一であるか又は異なっており、かつC−Si結合を介して残基Sのケイ素原子に結合する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のヘアコンディショニング組成物。
- 前記シリコーンポリマーが、500〜5000mPa.sの粘度を伴う、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のヘアコンディショニング組成物。
- 前記カチオン性界面活性剤が、前記組成物の0.1重量%〜10重量%の量で存在する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のヘアコンディショニング組成物。
- 毛髪又は皮膚に改善されたコンディショニング効果をもたらす方法であって、前記毛髪又は皮膚に、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のヘアコンディショニング組成物を塗布する工程を含む、方法。
