Description
Claims (7)
- エッチング特徴を有する強化ガラス物品を作製する方法であって、
第一の表面および第二の表面を含む非強化ガラス物品を提供する工程、
前記非強化ガラス物品に実質的に透過性の波長を含むレーザービームを該非強化ガラス物品の第一の表面上に焦点を合わせて前記第一の表面から材料を切除する工程、
所望のエッチング特徴により定められる境界中で前記レーザービームを前記非強化ガラス物品に対して並進させ、該レーザービームの並進によりエッチング特徴を形成する深さまで前記第一の表面から材料を切除する工程、および
前記エッチング特徴を形成後に化学強化プロセスにより前記非強化ガラス物品を化学的に強化する工程、
を含んでなり、
前記レーザービームを並進させる工程において、前記レーザービームが、複数の欠陥線が前記エッチング特徴の境界中に回折格子を作るような分離距離で分離された複数の欠陥線を作り、
前記強化ガラス物品は、該強化ガラス物品の第一の表面および第二の表面からそれぞれ層の所定の深さまで広がっている圧縮応力下の第一の強化表面層および第二の強化表面層、および、第一の強化表面層と第二の強化表面層との間にある引張応力下の中心領域を有し、
前記エッチング特徴の深さは、該エッチング特徴が圧縮応力層中にあるようにその層の深さより小さいことを特徴とする方法。 - 材料の一以上の薄層が前記エッチング特徴上に配されるように前記強化ガラス物品の表面上に該材料の一以上の薄層を適用する工程をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記レーザービームが、10フェムト秒より大きなパルス幅を有するパルス状レーザービームであり、
前記パルス状レーザービームを、10cm/s〜120cm/sの範囲内の走査速度で非強化ガラス物品の第一の表面上を並進させ、および
前記パルス状レーザービームが10kHz〜500kHzの範囲内の周波数でパルスを発することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。 - 前記レーザービームを並進させる工程が、所望のエッチング特徴の境界中で該レーザービームを並進させて第一の方向に沿って複数の第一の欠陥線を形成し、所望のエッチング特徴の境界中で該レーザービームを並進させて第二の方向に沿って複数の第二の欠陥線を形成する工程を含み、前記複数の第一の欠陥線が前記複数の第二の欠陥線と交差する、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記レーザービームを並進させる工程が、前記レーザービームを並進させて所望のエッチング特徴の境界中に二次元模様または三次元模様を形成する工程を含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 強化ガラス物品の第一の表面および第二の表面からそれぞれ層の所定の深さまで広がっている圧縮応力下の第一の強化表面層および第二の強化表面層、および該第一の強化表面層と該第二の強化表面層との間にある引張応力下の中心領域、および、前記第一の表面または前記第二の表面中の、層の深さより小さな深さを有すると共に少なくとも一つのエッチング特徴の外側の第一の表面または第二の表面の表面粗さより大きな表面粗さを有する少なくとも一つのエッチング特徴を含んでなり、
前記少なくとも一つのエッチング特徴はレーザーエッチング特徴であり、所定の分離距離で分離された複数の欠陥線を含み、該分離距離は、前記複数の欠陥線が前記少なくとも一つのエッチング特徴の境界中に回折格子を作るような距離である、強化ガラス物品。 - 前記強化ガラス物品の表面および前記エッチング特徴の上に配された材料の一以上の薄層をさらに含む、請求項6に記載の強化ガラス物品。
