Description
(a)多糖をアシル化剤と反応させて、アシル化多糖を生成させる工程と、
(b)アシル化多糖を、0.05〜15mg/l Ca2+−イオンを含有する水で洗浄する工程と、
(c)工程(b)から洗浄アシル化多糖とカルボン酸を含有する水相とを回収する工程と
を含む、アシル化多糖の製造方法に関する。
セルロースを、A.Hummel,“Industrial processes”,Macromolecular Symposia,2004,Vol 208(1),p.61−80に記載されたとおりに硫酸と一緒の酢酸中で前処理した。次いで、活性化セルロースを、酢酸と酢酸無水物との混合物と45〜85℃の温度で反応させた。反応を完了後、反応混合物を水中60重量%の酢酸の溶液でクエンチした。この酸水溶液のために使用した水のCa2+−含有量は、4.6mg/lであった。次いで、反応混合物を、4.6mg/lのCa2+−イオンおよび16重量%の酢酸を含有する水中に注ぎ入れ、そして酢酸セルロースが沈殿する。沈殿した酢酸セルロースを、4.6mg/lのCa2+−イオンを含有する水で洗浄し、乾燥させた。クエンチング、沈殿および洗浄した、合わせた水相は、ほぼ30%の酢酸を含有した。この水相を5μmフィルタで濾過し、次いで、これにAK4040膜(Osmonics Desal)を使用してバッチ様式逆浸透を施した。96.3%のVRを達成したが、一方で透過物品質の低下、または膜もしくはフィルタ閉塞を示したであろう、操作圧もしくは5μmフィルタの差圧の増加はまったく観察されなかった。泡試験を行って、逆浸透の効率を制御した:透過物1部を水4部で希釈し、振とうした。すべてのVR値における逆浸透工程を通しての透過物の泡持続時間は5秒であったが、逆浸透前の水相の泡持続時間は300秒超であり、有機不純物の効率的な除去を示した。透過物にジエチルエーテルによる液/液抽出およびその後の蒸留を施し、氷酢酸を生成させた。抽出および蒸留の間、装置の目詰まり、外皮被覆または汚損はまったく観察されなかった。
Claims (16)
- アシル化多糖を製造する方法であって、
(a)多糖をアシル化剤と反応させて、アシル化多糖を生成させる工程と、
(b)前記アシル化多糖を、0.05〜15mg/lのCa2+−イオンを含有する水で洗浄する工程と、
(c)洗浄された前記アシル化多糖、および工程(b)からのカルボン酸を含有する水相を回収する工程と
を含み、前記水相が、ナノ濾過または逆浸透により処理されて、カルボン酸を含有する透過物を回収する、方法。 - 前記アシル化剤が酢酸無水物である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記多糖が、セルロースまたはデンプンである、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記多糖が、セルロースである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 工程(a)が、少なくとも1種の酸性化合物の存在下で行われる、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 工程(a)が、酢酸および硫酸からなる群から選択される、少なくとも1種の酸性化合物の存在下で行われる、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 濾過前の前記水相が、5〜40重量%の酢酸、0.05〜15mg/lのCa2+−イオンおよび10〜20000mg/lのSO4 2−−イオンを含有する、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水相が、100g/モル超〜300g/モル超の最小分子量を有する有機不純物をさらに含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記ナノ濾過または逆浸透濾過が、100g/モル超〜300g/モル超の分子量を有する有機不純物を濾過する能力の膜を用いて行われる、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 容積減少が50%〜99%である、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、界面活性物質の実質的な非存在下で行われる、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- カルボン酸を回収する方法であって、
(a)請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法を行って、カルボン酸を含有する精製水相を得る工程と、
(b)前記精製水相に、少なくとも1つのさらなる精製工程を施す工程と
を含む方法。 - (b)において、前記精製水相が、抽出、乾燥、洗浄、蒸留からなる群から選択される精製工程に供される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 請求項12または13からのカルボン酸が酢酸であり、かつ多糖をアセチル化する方法が、(a)前記酢酸を酢酸無水物に変換する工程と、(b)多糖を、工程(a)により得られた酢酸無水物と反応させる工程とを含む、多糖をアセチル化する方法。
- 前記多糖がセルロースである、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記アセチル化が、酢酸および硫酸からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の酸性化合物の存在下でさらに行われる、請求項14または15に記載の方法。
