Description
しかしながら、2−メチルブタン酸、2−メチルペンタン酸、2−エチルブタン酸(特許文献1)および2−メチルプロパン酸(特許文献2)等の特定の分岐鎖脂肪酸は比較的高価であり、2−エチルヘキサン酸または3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサン酸のような脂肪酸と組み合わせた該分岐鎖脂肪酸とR32冷媒との間では、相溶性の差が非常に大きいため、安定した相溶性を容易に制御することができない。圧縮機を使用する際に、粘度や相溶性が異なる冷凍機油が必要となる場合、特許文献1でクレームされた構造を有する冷凍機油組成物の場合には、その構造が限定されるため、22〜320cSt(40℃)の動粘度で十分な相溶性を達成できる課題解決方案を導き出すことは困難である。特許文献1に開示されるような完全な分岐鎖構造を有するPOEは粘度指数が低くなる(通常95以下)。運転温度が高くなるにつれて粘度が急激に減少してしまうために、このような冷凍機油は冷媒を配合後に、潤滑性が不十分になり、設備疲労が生じたり、運転性能が悪化したりする傾向がある。潤滑性や摩耗を考慮して冷媒システムの正常な運転を確保するためには、特定の添加剤を配合する必要があるが、このような特定の添加剤を使用すると、商業化の普及の点で不利であり、使用コストの増加につながる。
<合成方法>
原料:トリペンタエリスリトール(TriPE)およびNeoC5(ネオペンタン酸)/ nC5(n−ペンタン酸)/ nC7(n−ヘプタン酸)(酸の重量%=22%/70%/8%)、全部の酸に対するアルコールの当量比(アルコール:酸)1:1.1。
合成方法:上記の原料を正確な割合で4つ口反応器に仕込んだ。反応器からの漏れがないことを確認した後、少量の窒素を充填し、温度を上昇させた。反応温度が110℃に上昇した際に700ppmの触媒(メタンスルホン酸、酸化第一錫、テトラブチルチタネート、テトラプロピルチタネート、シュウ酸第一錫等の一般的な触媒)を添加し、その後反応温度を200〜250℃まで引き続き上昇させて8時間維持した。反応停止後の反応生成物の水酸基価は3未満であることが確認された。反応停止後に反応生成物を冷却した。過剰量の脂肪酸を真空蒸留およびアルカリ洗浄により除去した。最終的には、活性炭、粘土および吸着剤により不純物を除去し、220 mm2/sの粘度を有する合成エステル1を得た。

原料:ジペンタエリスリトール/ペンタエリスリトール(ポリオールの重量%=55%/45%)およびNeo-C5(ネオペンタン酸)/ nC5(n−ペンタン酸)(酸の重量%=18%/82%)。
原料:ペンタエリスリトールおよびNeoC5(ネオペンタン酸)/ nC5(n−ペンタン酸)/ nC7(n−ヘプタン酸)(酸の重量%=26%/28%/46%)。
原料:トリペンタエリスリトールおよびNeo-C5(ネオペンタン酸)/ nC5(n−ペンタン酸)/ nC7(n−ヘプタン酸)(酸の重量%=34.7%/58.7%/6.6%)。
原料:ジペンタエリスリトールおよびC5(n−ペンタン酸)/トリメチルヘキサン酸(酸の重量%=76.3%/23.7%)。
Solest 220およびSolest 320は、HFC冷媒との使用に適した市販の高粘度冷凍機油の代表的なものであるが、R32冷媒との相溶性がない。
Claims (10)
- ポリオールエステルを1種以上含有する冷凍機油とジフルオロメタン(R32)冷媒とを含有する冷凍機用潤滑油組成物であって、
前記ポリオールエステルは、1種以上のポリオールと、1種以上の炭素数4〜10の直鎖状または分岐状の脂肪酸(ただし、ネオペンタン酸、ネオヘキサン酸、ネオヘプタン酸、ネオオクタン酸、ネオノナン酸、ネオデカン酸を除く。)およびネオペンタン酸、ネオヘキサン酸、ネオヘプタン酸、ネオオクタン酸、ネオノナン酸、ネオデカン酸またはこれらの混合物を含む特定構造を有する脂肪酸と、を反応させて得られ、前記特定構造を有する脂肪酸の含有量が、前記炭素数4〜10の直鎖状または分岐状の脂肪酸と前記特定構造を有する脂肪酸の総重量に対して、1〜50重量%であること、を特徴とする冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。 - 前記冷凍機油が、前記ポリオールエステルを2種以上含有する、請求項1に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 前記冷凍機油が、1種以上のポリオールと、1種以上の炭素数4〜10の直鎖状または分岐状の脂肪酸(ただし、ネオペンタン酸、ネオヘキサン酸、ネオヘプタン酸、ネオオクタン酸、ネオノナン酸、ネオデカン酸を除く。)とを反応させて得られたポリオールエステルをさらに含有する、請求項1又は2に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 前記ポリオールが、ネオペンチルグリコール(NPG)、3−ヒドロキシ−2,2−ジメチルプロピル−3−ヒドロキシ−2,2−ジメチルプロパノエート(HPHP)、トリメチロールプロパン(TMP)、ジトリメチロールプロパン(DiTMP)、ペンタエリスリトール(PE)、ジペンタエリスリトール(DiPE)およびトリペンタエリスリトール(Tri-PE)からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 前記炭素数4〜10の直鎖状または分岐状の脂肪酸がn−ブタン酸、n−ペンタン酸、n−ヘキサン酸、n−ヘプタン酸、n−オクタン酸、n−ノナン酸、n−デカン酸、2−メチルブタン酸、3−メチルブタン酸、2−エチルペンタン酸、2−エチルヘキサン酸または3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサン酸を含有する請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- −50℃より高く15℃より低い温度で、前記ポリオールエステルが、ジフルオロメタン(R32)冷媒と相溶し(冷媒中のポリオールエステルの含有量:20%)、40℃で22〜320cStの動粘度を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 冷媒と冷凍機油との混合比(冷媒/冷凍機油)が99/1〜50/50である、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 極圧添加剤、金属不活性化剤、酸捕捉剤、酸化防止剤または他の合成冷凍機用潤滑油を更に含有する、1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 他の合成冷凍機用潤滑油が、ポリアルキレングリコール(PAG)またはポリビニルエーテル(PVE)であり、冷凍機油に含まれるポリオールエステルとPAGまたはPVEとの比が100:0〜60:40である、請求項8に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 極圧添加剤を0〜4重量%、金属不活性化剤を0〜0.5重量%、酸捕捉剤を0〜2重量%、および酸化防止剤を0〜1重量%含有する、請求項9に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
