Description
特許文献2には、アルカリ金属塩として、炭酸ナトリウム塩又は炭酸カリウム塩を0.2〜5重量%含有する摩擦材組成物が記載されている。
また、特許文献3には、炭酸亜鉛、炭酸マグネシウム、炭酸リチウム、炭酸カリウム等から選ばれる補助材を含むセミメタリック摩擦材が記載されている。
すなわち、本発明は以下の摩擦材に関するものである。
(1) 繊維基材、摩擦調整材及び結合材を含む摩擦材であって、銅の含有量が銅元素換算で0.5質量%以下であり、炭酸リチウムを含む摩擦材。
(2) 前記炭酸リチウムの含有量が0.1〜10質量%である上記(1)に記載の摩擦材。
(3) 前記炭酸リチウムの平均粒子径が0.1〜300μmである、上記(1)または(2)に記載の摩擦材。
ただし本発明の摩擦材は銅の含有量が銅元素換算で0.5質量%以下であり、銅を含有しないことが好ましい。なお、銅を含有しないとは、銅成分を、耐摩耗性などの機能を発現させるための有効成分としては含有しないという意味であり、例えば、摩擦材中に不可避的にわずかに含まれる不純物等としての銅成分をも含まないことまでを意味するものではない。銅成分には、銅単独、銅と、亜鉛、ニッケル、マンガン、アルミニウム、スズ等の他金属との銅合金、銅酸化物、銅硫化物等の銅化合物も含む。
本発明において、有機充填材は、摩擦材全体中、好ましくは1〜15質量%、より好ましくは、1〜10質量%用いられる。
本発明において、研削材は、摩擦材全体中、好ましくは5〜30質量%、より好ましくは、10〜30質量%用いられる。
本発明において、固体潤滑材は、摩擦材全体中、好ましくは1〜20質量%、より好ましくは、3〜15質量%用いられる。
また、摩擦材における結合材は摩擦材全体中、好ましくは5〜20質量%、より好ましくは、5〜15質量%用いられる。
摩擦材を備えたブレーキパッドの製造における一般的な工程を以下に示す。
(a)板金プレスによりプレッシャプレートを所定の形状に成形する工程、
(b)上記プレッシャプレートに脱脂処理、化成処理及びプライマー処理を施す工程、
(c)繊維基材、摩擦調整材、及び結合材等の原料を配合し、撹拌により十分に均質化して、常温にて所定の圧力で成形して予備成形体を作製する工程、
(d)上記予備成形体と接着剤が塗布されたプレッシャプレートとを、所定の温度及び圧力を加えて両部材を一体に固着する熱成形工程(成形温度130〜180℃、成形圧力30〜80MPa、成形時間2〜10分間)、
(e)アフタキュア(150〜300℃、1〜5時間)を行って、最終的に研摩、表面焼き、及び塗装等の仕上げ処理を施す工程。
(摩擦材の作製)
表1に記載の原料を、表1に示す配合割合でミキサーを用いて混合した後、原料混合物を熱成形型に投入し、150℃、50MPaで5分間の加熱加圧成形を行った。得られた加熱加圧成形体に対して250℃で3時間の熱処理を行い、摩擦材を作製した。
なお炭酸リチウムは(株)高純度化学研究所製のものを使用した(平均粒子径138μm)。
(評価)
JASO−C406に準拠した摩擦特性試験をブレーキダイナモメータで行った。第1フェードにおける最低摩擦係数、試験終了後の摩擦材摩耗量を表1に示す。
原料の種類と配合量を表1または表2に示すものとした以外は実施例1と同様に摩擦材を作製し、評価した。結果を表1及び表2に示す。
なお炭酸リチウムは(株)高純度化学研究所製のものを使用した(各平均粒子径138μm、2μm、8μm)。炭酸ナトリウム(平均粒子径550μm)、炭酸カリウム(平均粒子径340μm)、炭酸マグネシウム(平均粒子径14μm)、炭酸亜鉛(平均粒子径13μm)は、和光純薬(株)製のものを使用した。

- 繊維基材、摩擦調整材及び結合材を含む摩擦材であって、銅の含有量が銅元素換算で0.5質量%以下であり、炭酸リチウムを含む摩擦材。
